I am so bored at work, and still have to be here another 3 hours. So let's do a GTKY.

What brand test was it? Wondfo
Was it a dark or faint line? You could barely see it. In fact, my DH told me he'd have to trust me because I hadn't been wrong yet and he couldn't see anything.
What was your initial reaction? Shock. I had been convinced that I was out and as readying myself for AF.
When and how did you announce it to DH? I basically showed him the test and asked if he could see anything. The next day, I showed him the clear positive I got with FMU.
When and how did you announce it to your family? I have not announced yet.
BFP #5: 3/25/2015: EDD: 12/8/2015.
What brand test was it? Dollar Tree test
Was it a dark or faint line? Very faint, but I tested at night.
What was your initial reaction? I just stared at it for the longest time, and just kept thinking "wow". I don't have words to describe how surprised I was, even though we were trying.
When and how did you announce it to DH? I walked out the the living room, still in shock, and asked him if he could see the line. He said he could, and we both just kinda said "this is it" and were both still in a little shock.
When and how did you announce it to your family? I didn't wait very long. I told my parents the next day. I had them meet me after work and gave them a "birthday invitation" for LO's EDD. My mom cried and my dad said "I knew I felt old today". My sisters were also there and they really broke down and cried, even more than my mom.
We told DH's parents that weekend when we went up to their house with the same invitation. It took them a little longer to figure out what was going on, but they were very excited.
I called my grandparents and announced to each of them the day after we told DH's parents, and the rest of my family was notified via Facebook at 5 weeks. I felt much better not hiding it, and don't regret announcing that soon.

What was your initial reaction? I laughed, cried, and then I threw up. lol
When and how did you announce it to DH? DH was still in bed, so I crawled back into bed and said "Congratulations, you're going to be a daddy!!"
When and how did you announce it to your family? We told my parents earlier on because of my previous loss and I wanted them to be aware just in case something happened. We told them on Mother's Day with a present and a card. My parents have a wall of pictures of their other grandkids and I wrote in a MD card "I hope you have room on your wall for one more". The present was a picture frame that said Mom+Dad=Me. It had pictures of me, A, and then an u/s picture. Immediate family got phone calls after 12 weeks.

What was your initial reaction? Excitement
When and how did you announce it to DH? I came home and told DD she was going to be a big sister while DH was standing next to her.
When and how did you announce it to your family? Told my parents over Skype y holding up an Ultrasound pic and we just called everyone else in our imediate families.

What was your initial reaction? I need to take another test! Then I was bursting with excitement.
When and how did you announce it to DH? After taking 2 tests I told DH. I called him in and gave him a gator onesie and showed him the tests. He was in complete disbelief.
When and how did you announce it to your family? 8 weeks. We told MIL over skype and had sent her a pic frame with the sonogram pic in it. We told my parents that same weekend when they opened their pic frame.

When and how did you announce it to DH?
i asked him if he saw the line. He couldn't be sure either. Later, I retested and I was sure so I have him the #1 dad keychain and the card I had bought when we started ttc.
When and how did you announce it to your family?
It was super special. We announced at Christmas by wrapping a frame with a poem in it and putting it under the tree for our moms. First grand baby on both sides. Everybody cried. I was about 8 weeks. We went public at about 13 weeks, when the nt scan looked good.
When you've been married this long, you need a ticker to remind you.

What brand test was it? Wondfo and digital
Was it a dark or faint line? faint
What was your initial reaction? Cried and almost didn't believe it
When and how did you announce it to DH? Went downstairs and shoved the digital in his face.
When and how did you announce it to your family? Mother's Day to my parents with a 4 generation frame and Father's Day to everyone else the same way.

Was it a dark or faint line? A very clear Pregnant!
What was your initial reaction? Shock, I thought there might be something wrong with the test since it was a digi and it was so early, and it was an unmedicated cycle and we didn't even do it on O day (but did the day before)
When and how did you announce it to DH? It was 4:30am, I went upstairs and woke him up and put it in his hand, he didn't even realize what it was until I woke him up again.
When and how did you announce it to your family? Called my mom, told ILs at dinner that night.

Where were you in your cycle when you got your BFP? Not sure what day. I thought it was 14 dpo, but according to my lmp, it would have been 17 dpo
What brand test was it? I honestly can't remember. One that you can buy at Target in a pink box. It was a digi.
Was it a dark or faint line? Decently dark
What was your initial reaction? It was 2am. I had never made it to 14 dpo before, and I always said that I only wanted to test once, so when I tested I would have been shocked if I weren't pregnant. We were obviously excited.
When and how did you announce it to DH? I had asked him before we went to sleep if he wanted me to wake him before I tested, regardless of what time I tested. He said yes, so when I woke up, I woke him up and went to POAS. We were half asleep, so I just told him that I was pregnant.
When and how did you announce it to your family? We didn't do anything special. Just said that we were expecting.

What was your initial reaction? I knew before I took the test that it was going to be positive. I had a feeling plus morning sickness
. I had a mixture of being overwhelmed, excited, nervous, thankful, etc. I cried and prayed. It was a pretty special moment being the only person to know and thanking God for these precious gifts.
When and how did you announce it to DH? I left the bathroom, turned on the bedroom light, and woke DH up. He said, "What's wrong?!" and all I could do is hold the test out to him and cry.
When and how did you announce it to your family? We gave my mom a giftbag with an "ornament" in it. I told her it was for the tree. It was actually a set of bibs about going to grandma's house. We did the same thing with MIL the next day after church.
Where were you in your cycle when you got your BFP? CD 29, 10 DPO and I'd taken Clomid on CD 3-7
What brand test was it? Wondfo cheapy, then FRER, and then CBE Digi
Was it a dark or faint line? It was super faint on 9 DPO so we didn't really believe it was true and the digi said not pregnant. Then at 10 DPO I was irritated and figured I'd test again that afternoon after work. Faint line on the Wondfo so then I did a FRER and it was also a faint line so then I used the digi and it popped up Pregnant.
What was your initial reaction? Shock, even though based on temps I stood a VERY good chance of being pregnant. We'd waited and wanted this for quite awhile but it was finally real and I had the "oh $hit" thought as well
When and how did you announce it to DH? DH was at work and wouldn't be home until around 10:30 at night, I tested around 5:30 PM and I panicked and called him to come home ASAP. He thought the dog had gotten out and was running loose and I wouldn't tell him why he needed to come home. So he gets here and I have all 3 tests out on the table (on a paper towel) and I had a "Daddy Loves Me" onesie and new daddy card ready for him.
When and how did you announce it to your family? I'm still kind of bitter about this, but my MIL ruined us announcing to them. We had decided to tell our parents over the weekend by going and seeing my parents on Saturday (I tested on a Tuesday) so I arranged that with my parents. We then were going to meet up with his parents for brunch on Sunday. So he talks to his dad and sets that up. Later that night his mom calls and congratulates us on being pregnant. We tried to tell them that wasn't why we were trying to see them but she just kept at it and said that she'd seen a baby registry for us on Target's webpage. What she had seen was a List I had created several months before and had titled Future Baby Stuff. She didn't read it correctly and isn't the most tech savvy. My DH then just told them that we were pregnant, so then we needed to go and tell my parents too right away so that I wasn't keeping it from them as I'm really close with my parents. We drove to my hometown at about 9 PM the night before we both have to go to work early in the AM and gave them a picture frame to put an ultrasound in. Not exactly how I wanted it to go but life goes on.
That is so sweet. It's the first grand baby for both mine and DHs parents too.

When and how did you announce it to DH? I tested around 10pm on a Monday after having heartburn and enhanced smells and my wine tasting weird that day/evening. DH got home from work shortly after 11 and I had the pee sticks on the bathroom counter and a little pair of Patriots socks next to them.
When and how did you announce it to your family? at 8 or 9 weeks, we gave our moms "grandma brag book" photo albums with our due date in the first picture slot.

Where were you in your cycle when you got your BFP? CD 25, probably 12 DPO, but I wasn't temping - just using OPKs so I'm not sure
What brand test was it? Dollar store. I didn't want to waste a FRER since I "knew" it would be negative

What was your initial reaction? Like a weight off my shoulders.
When and how did you announce it to DH? "Uh, could you look at this? Do you see a line?"
When and how did you announce it to your family? "Mom, I'm pregnant" Que screaming. We got MIL a "Baby's 1st Halloween" bib. I think DH just called FIL. Then we slowly told people as we got further along. We did a big "hey everyone, we're pregnant" announcement by sharing my baby blog.

What brand test was it? First I tested with a Wondfo, then a FRER, and finally a CBE Digital.
Was it a dark or faint line? somewhere in between, faint but definitely visible
What was your initial reaction? holy $h1tb4ll$!!! No freaking way! I never expected to get pregnant that quickly after our m/c and infertility journey. My heart pounded the entire time.
When and how did you announce it to DH? I told him we should go out to dinner after already having delayed making dinner for a few hours. He asked why and I told him we were celebrating.
When and how did you announce it to your family? I called both sets of parents the day of my bfp. We wanted the love and support of close family in case something happened.
