Re: QOTD 5/1

  • His taste in music is terrible. He's ignorant to pretty much everything but pop and techno. The other day I had to inform him that Piano Man is a Billy Joel song. What the heck!

  • I'm cranky so everything right now, JK...

Lately it's him telling me multiple times where his runs are, every.single.day.  I get it, he's excited, it's still new to him... but half the time I have no idea since I don't have a map of MD/PA/VA memorized, and there's a lot of freaking towns with the same/similar names in these states.  I actually snapped this morning and said "dude, just tell me the general area... like Baltimore, DC, NorVa..."

  • He is super obsessed with sports! He has to watch every MN football, hockey and baseball game. And if he hears the Timberwolves are doing good (which rarely happens) that gets added to the mix. I get so sick of constant sports on our TV! I usually read while he watches them, but he always yells stuff like, "HEIDI, DID YOU SEE THAT?! Look, look they're showing the replay," or he yells at the players like they can hear him. It makes reading really challenging, because he gets pretty loud about it sometimes.

My husband is obsessed with sports too.  It usually doesn't bother me though, because it's often a Pittsburgh sport he's watching, or a NFL playoff game, or something I'm interested in, even if only mildly.  Sometimes though he'll watch random (at least in my mind) college football games, and I'm like really you care about this game?  And he's like it's 1 vs. 2  how can you not?

But that's not what bothers me most. He hardly throws anything away. And I'm not talking about things that are important. A couple weeks ago, for example, he put soap in the dishwasher and started it and put the Cascade box under the sink. And it was empty! Really?!?

  • He is a procrastinator and I am the complete opposite. It takes him forever to get started on doing something and then he can NOT for the life of him multi-task

  • Lol, you guys are funny.  My H has those common annoying "guy" things like not putting the toilet seat down or leaving cabinet doors open.  But the thing that drives me crazy is the noise he makes with his nose!  He gets bad allergies and he's always rubbing his nose, but it makes this nasty squishing sound that is disgusting.  And he always does it when I'm sitting next to him, so it's right in my ear.  I hate it!

I was just thinking about this this morning, it's a coincidence that this is your QOTD!  I cannot stand the way my H puts lotion on his face and head.  It is so annoying and not the way I would do it.  It's gotten to the point I can't watch him.  When I see him about to put on lotion I leave the room or turn the other way.  He doesn't know this bothers me, but it really boils my blood.

And now I sound really crazy too.

  • His total and complete lack of care about his appearance. He showers and looks decent for work and stuff (but at this point it's just at Walgreens), but he doesn't give a flip when he's got food on his face, or in his teeth, or on his shirt, or his collar is flipped, etc., etc...it drives me CRAZY!! He has an interview in a week and a half for some civil engineering positions and I asked him to please, PLEASE once he gets a big boy job to check his teeth everytime he eats. When I point the food out to him, he gets cranky and says I'm "nitpicking his appearance" and I'm like "no, I'm looking at your basic personal hygiene" UGH. How does he not get it?!

  • i cannot stand that h has a complete lack of interest in the appearance of the house. more specifically it bothers me that h isnt bothered by an untidy or unkept house. we have a st bernard and its not uncommon for there to be bits of dried drool on the wall *yucko* and yet h always says he never sees it. ugh men.

  • All of these responses make me laugh. Lately with him its been his allergies. He sucks all the snot in in the morning usually which I hate, but when its allergy season it happens ALL DAY LONG.

OR him not refilling the brita pitcher and just wishing cold water filter would appear. ;)

  • Him constantly asking me where stuff is. I don't mind as much when I was the last one to have said item, but I don't feel like I should have to keep track of every single thing for him. I've started telling him "Well, the last time I used/had it, I put it away", and that usually gets him to look for it himself, haha!
