Money Matters
Dear Community,

Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

If you have questions about this, please email help@theknot.com.

Thank you.

Note: This only affects The Nest's community members and will not affect members on The Bump or The Knot.

Facebook - is this possible?

I know you can post something and customize your post to block certain people from seeing what your post says. But, is there a way to have a list of names on file you can use to block for certian posts instead of typing them in each time you have a certain post you do not want to share?

Re: Facebook - is this possible?

  • I believe you can create friend groups, and then you can share posts with only certain groups. So you could create a group that excludes just a few people you like to block regularly, and then share a post with that group. I think that becomes your default for sharing until you change it for another post.

Make a friends list of all the people who you want to be able to see a post, and then make that post accessible by only that list.
  • You also used to be able to exclude by list unless they changed it in the last redesign.  So you could make a list of people you're trying to block.

  • Thanks everyone! I made a custom listed, saved it. Posted a public post shortly after and my custom one was GONE. I'm probably doing something wrong.
