Hey, I've had a pretty horrible weekend.
Friday night I went out with co-workers for one of their b-days. We were walking between bars and one girl got hit by a car crossing the street. It was a hit and run, but a cop was on the corner when it happened and took off after the car and caught him.
I found out today she did not break anything or have any internal injuries, thank goodness. None of us saw it happen but it was scary as shiit having to sit with her in the road until the cops came. She refused the ambulance so we sat with her for over a half hour until her roommate picked her up to take her to the hospital. She was banged up pretty bad. One of her thick, strappy sandals ripped off her foot. Her phone and purse were in the road along with a piece of the car.
After she left, I was in charge of getting the b-day girl home. B-day girl was wasted. 5 minutes from her house she makes me stop on the side of the road. When we finally got to her house, she sat in my car in her driveway for about 20 minutes not moving because she felt so sick. I finally had to call her parents out to help get her. It was after 3am at this point. Then I had to explain all the events of the night and it was so awkward. Like, "here's your daughter, sorry she's obliterated! Oh and she may not remember it in the morning, but one of her friends got hit by a car"
I got home at about 4am and had to wake up at 8am to go meet H at Universal since I got him tickets for his b-day. We had an issue with the tickets though and the line to the window to fix it was an hour long plus the park was closing early today so we just got lunch and left. A waste of a 3-hour round trip.
I'm not doing anything productive for the rest of the night.
Wow, Quirky that is a really shitty and scary start to the weekend. Wow.
I worked today and I don't even have the brain power to get into it at the moment. I may go in to help out tomorrow. Maybe. After I got home my day improved 100%. I need to stretch and work my muscles. I think I'll go try a new ballet barr/ Pilates place on Sunday.
I keep forgetting today is Saturday, because I didn't have to work @ the restaurant today. I went into the catering kitchen for a bit to start on a cake for this week...wedding on a Tues?
DH did all sorts of house projects in the couple hours I was gone (which goes to prove that on the days when I'm gone way longer and he does nothing he's just laying around) He organized the porch and the hallway closet, folded all the laundry, brushed and ran the dogs and fixed our broken screen door...so go him!
We are both in super DIY mode so we did a bunch of measuring and list making for the massive home depot trip we want to make this week. We also finished demo and sanded the cabinet I am turning into a china hutch, that is also going to match the new dining set we are now making.
I only have one more real work day, and a day of cleaning and then the restaurant is closed for 3 weeks, so I am super excited to get all of our projects done, and sleep alot

DH was sick too this weekend... hopefully he doesn't give it to me!
