Kid Skin Care - Alternatives to Aveeno (J&J)
G has pretty fair/sensitive skin. He has on/off eczema, but not enough to warrant Rx skin care products. He gets dry on his cheeks and ankles - and a few other spots around his body.
I'm looking for an alternative to Aveeno and other Johnson & Johnson products.
I've seen the Aquaphor wash, we've had great luck with the Aquaphor healing ointment and we don't use anything else to moisturize and protect his skin other than that. Have any of you tried the Aquaphor wash?
Do any of you have recommendations for more natural products that produce good results?
Re: Kid Skin Care - Alternatives to Aveeno (J&J)
ditto. Our pedi recommended cetaphil back when dd was young and had skin issues
We use cerave cream for my daughter with skin issues. We use California Baby super sensitive shampoo/bodywash for both girls. And for my other daughter we use babyganics fragrance free daily lotion. I also wash their clothes in fragrance free laundry detergent./
I used to use aveeno products for the girls but I started learning that aveeno isn't as "natural" as they lead on to be.
When DD was younger, I used Little Twig baby wash. Now that she's older, we use Desert Esscence body wash. They're not particularly for sensitive skin, but they're more natural/no chemicals.
Dr. Bronner's also makes a baby mild soap that's free of scent.
