Can closing happen before contract date?
After hunting for several months, we found a house and ended up backing out after a horrible inspection but now here we are finally found a great home and we're well on our way! So thats super exciting 
Closing however....19 DAYS BEFORE MY DUE DATE! (not to mention its right at the end of the month so we'd hate to have to pay another months rent) Whew, talk about stressful...just going to take it one day at a time and not let it get to me but...
I am wondering if closing can happen before the date that is set on the contract? What does the official closing date depend on?

The closing date is based on how long the realtors believe it will take the bank to finalize the mortgage. The contract date is the last possible date that you can close on the house without a contract extension or addendum made between both you, the buyer, and the seller.
If you contact the bank and ask for a faster closing, you could possibly close earlier than the contract date if the seller agrees. In your case, it may be worth it to ask.

Thank you! Thats what I was thinking! In that case I don't think it will be an issue on their part, house is empty and ready for us so hopefully we will be able to get in a little earlier
