AW, we bought a new house!
Well, after much debate we bought a new house.
My husband has successful moved a North Hills girl south although not quite as far south as he originally wanted. The house is in Collier and about 2 minutes from Settlers Cabin.
Weird thing was we were about to put an offer in on a house in Ross (which I loved) then one of the secretaries called him to say her neighbor was selling. I will admit it hurts to move south, but the house is on 6.5 acres and while it has a bit too much knotty pine for my taste (which I have been assured can be removed), I really like it.
Re: AW, we bought a new house!
This is my husband's dream house. It also has a huge detached garage that is heated and he is thinking of installing a lift in.
In the deal, we now will also have a quad since that is what they use to cut the grass.
It is literally 3 miles from the high school so Nathan is very happy. Well, at least now my school taxes are going to be coming back to me!

Congrats!!! I can't believe you finally bought a house and I can't believe you are going South! haha!
Can't wait to see pictures!
You're not moving south....you're moving west :-)
That's my neck of the woods too, so welcome!
South/West its still over a bridge and through a tunnel!
My three sons!
Well, he wanted further out (Washington Co., Imperial, Oakdale) Collier was a nice compromise for me.
My husband has actually been hunting the neighboring property for years! We really lucked into this house, she hadn't even listed it yet. It definitely needs work and I will admit I was not overly thrilled about it at first (that damn knotty pine is everywhere) but it has a lot of potential and was a lot cheaper than my first choice.
This is seriously 4 years in the hunt! We have been looking forever (our agent actually retired before we found a house!) because DH and I have very different wants.
6.5 acres!
I don't think the N/S hills people ought to hate on each other... it's all pretty much the same (and beautiful).
Welcome to the south! And you can get to Ross on a Saturday morning in <20min anyway.
