Highs/lows of your weekend?
Highs: Pulling off two family get togethers. My homemade lasagna came out perfect on Saturday for my family. And DH's grilled food on Sunday for his family was also great!
Lows: Because of the above, with all the cleaning and cooking.. I was so tired this weekend. I napped for about 2 hours yesterday evening after his family left, and my back is killing me. Another low.. sitting out at DH's softball game yesterday evening I was in a sweatshirt and coat. Everyone else had coats, scarves, blankets, etc. It's the middle of May! So sad...

Re: Manic Monday
Highs: I told my parents this weekend. Which went well. They are excited. My Dad's comment was "Thank you for giving me a grandchild not 75 miles from me" (my brother and his family live almost two hours away.. my brother's job is closer to them then their house, it's odd)
Lows: I guess just being 9 weeks prego and missing food. But I have still no desire to eat anything. I did actually have a real meal yesterday, but threw it up. Sigh.
Highs:
It was an all around great weekend. Today I got done with work early.
Lows:
This is the one day H is getting off of work late. My batteries on the flash at work died. My back-ups were dead too. It was great.
High:
We went to Universal Studios for H's birthday and he really enjoyed it. The one side of the park felt empty and we didn't have to wait in lines. The Islands of Adventure side was packed though.
Low:
I got really homesick. We were missing SIL's baby shower and a cousin posted a group pic on FB where we were the only ones missing. Then I found a pic of our niece's christening that apparently happened and no one told us about or invited us to. I was pissed. I know we're far away now, but at least tell us about family news or invite us even though we can't come. Grr.
High:
Celebrating my first Mother's Day and buying the grandmother's gifts. I bought the "handprint" items from Hallmark that were on the commercials. We did Lillian's footprints since the girl keeps her hands in fists 99% of the time! I was so excited to give them to the grandmas.
Also, DH and I always slept in an apartment above a garage with no running water or bathroom when we went to the lake. On Saturday, all of the guys in his family finally worked to take down a wall that was blocking the use of an entire room in the actual house. Now when we go up for the summer, we can all have room in the house. Yay for running water! There was no way we could stay up in the apartment with DD.
Low:
DH being away Friday night and Saturday so that he could go to the lake and do the work. I seriously feel like I'm alone all of the time. Then he comes home tonight and says, "The guys from work want to go to a baseball game on *this* date," and "This guy from work wants me to go to this cigar bar with him." All of this before he left tonight to go to play with his hockey team for two hours.
I don't like to keep him from doing things... but I feel like he's never here. I haven't done much since DD was born and I feel like he just does whatever he wants. *sigh*
Too funny!! I made homemade lasagna on Saturday and had DH's family over! It was delicious!
Also - Where does your DH play softball at? I was playing softball on Sunday too!

I can't think of the name.. but it's near Southport & 37. There are about 7 fields there, I think.

Doing this a day late - my day yesterday was INSANELY BUSY!!
Weekend highs - On Friday, we went and hung out with some friends. Some of DH's friends were trying to get us to go out on the bikes, but it was cold and drizzily! Not ideal riding conditions for me! So instead, we drove around, following them, in DH's car.
Saturday, I went to see The Big Wedding with my sister (pretty decent movie), and I had DH's parents, and his sister's family over for homemade lasagna. DH had to work late because his cook quit, so he wasn't able to come to dinner.
Sunday, I went to church with my parents and had lunch at my paren'ts for Mother's Day. Afterwards, I played a softball game, and then went to meet DH at his aunt's house. DH had gotten off work, and went over to his Aunt's.
No real low-light this weekend!

Yes, that's it!! Too funny. DH's games are always 5 or later. I think his this Sunday is at 8:30. Are yours always earlier in the day? He's in an all guys league though.

I'm a day late thanks to being sick yesterday!
Highs - A successful and not overly expensive trip to Ikea on Saturday! We bought a new garbage can, laundry basket, closet shelving unit/organizer and two throw pillows for the living room for $70!
Lows - Getting sick on Sunday and still feeling crappy Monday and today. There's only so much tv one person can watch!
hope you start feeling 100% soon.
and I have to say I love love love Ikea!
Thanks erollis! I'm giving myself a headache from coughing so much! I'm tempted to drag DH out of bed to go buy me lozenges, but I feel bad waking him up early.
Ikea finally opened up here in November and I love it! I had been before (stores out of town) but it's not the same.
