1st Anniversary
I know we still have a few months but I was wondering if anyone has started to think about what they are doing to celebrate there first anniversary? We are thinking a cruise. We plan on starting TTC soon and want to get in one good vacation before kids come along :-)
Has anyone else made plans or thought about it yet?

I was wanting to go away for a weekend. Even go to my old college for their fair and see a country concert... but H's neice is getting married in NC end of Sept. So I don't think H can get off 2 weekends back to back. And as of right now, I'll be on furloughs (20% pay cut for 3 months).
SOOOO.... I think I want to stick with the paper gift idea. I thought of framing something like our first dance lyrics or vows and get H tickets for a Raven's game. Of course this year they aren't playing the Eagles!
I think we plan to do a long weekend somewhere. At this point, I will be out of town on work travel for our actual anniversary, but we may do something earlier in October. We are also talking about running a race with his dad on the weekend after. It will be H's dad's 80th birthday and he wants to run a ten-miler. He is such an inspiration!
ETA: I guess we should start training...
I think we'll go out to supper alone that's about it... Baby Bianca should be about 3 months old at that point. So getting away doesn't seem logical. Especially exclusively BFdng so Mamere and Papere (grandma / grandpa can watch her for a couple hours) while we escape
lol
I am sure DH will plan something nice. We never did have a honey moon maybe in a few years LOL
Make a pregnancy ticker
We had thought about going on a nice vacation, but I don't think we'll want to spend the money since we are trying to pay down our house remodeling debt.
I'd like to do something more than just go out to dinner. Maybe we can stay at a bed and breakfast for a few nights. Idk, we'll just see what we feel like doing when we get a little closer.
Well...we're leaving for Italy on 10/14 (2 days after our anniversary) for our belated honeymoon!
We weren't sure if we'd be in Italy or home for our anniversary at first; but the way flights worked out, we'll be home.
We already talked about getting a small red velvet cake (our wedding cake was red velvet). I would make one myself, but I don't want to be baking 2 days before we leave the country for 2.5 weeks LOL.
We probably won't do gifts, since the trip is $$$ and I'm sure we'll be buying things there. Do plane tickets count as paper even if it's an e-ticket LOL?!
It'll totally depend on which job H gets, if he gets a new one. I would like to do something small, like going to gatlinburg for a couple of days.
Christina- that sounds really cool wanting to see the places from the notebook!! We go to Charleston with H's family almost every summer, and so I've seen the door they used for allie's house!
