That's it! Text me if you want details :)

Re: Amcourt

  • Yea?? What did you start with? It seems pretty easy and way less expensive than buying jar food that's full of preservatives.

Yeh, baby food is SO expensive. We actually started with veggies because I was afraid L would only want super sweet things if I did fruit first. I believe we did sweet potatoes first.

You just boil them and then put them in the food processor. I used breastmilk or water to thin them out to be the consistancy of the store bought stuff. Then I froze it in ice cube trays (then ziplock bags) until I needed it.

When we were doing real foods I was able to make a meal or two on Sundays, freeze it, and then have a freezerful to pick from. It lasts about 3 months in the freezer, so get some ice cube trays and get to work!

I did the same! It was so much fun to make her food and it made me feel a lot better about what I was giving to her. We started with sweet potatoes too. There is a really good website...http://wholesomebabyfood.momtastic.com.. you should check it out. That is where I learned what to give her and how.
