Party Menu Help!

Heyy ladies - so I'm planning T's baptism party and I need help with the menu. It's at my IL's and I was planning on grilling - hot dogs and hamburgers but what else should I have? I don't want to over do it but I want to make sure that I have enough. We invited about 80 people. I'm expecting probably 60 to show.

Re: Party Menu Help!

  • Potato salad, Macaroni salad, chips, salsa and dips...  Salad, pulled pork or meatballs in a crock pot... grilled chicken...

Those are our BBQ party staples.

    Ours too!

  • Ditto what everyone else said. If you wanted to fancy it up kinda, set up a burger bar. Someone on facebook posted theirs this weekend for Mother's Day, she had tons of different topping. Bacon, blue cheese crumbs, different mustards. Basically everything just set up on plates and bowls with little cards in front of each item describing what it was.

Great idea! I wanted to make it a little more fun than just a regular bbq and this would be perfect.

    Thanks ladies! :)

  • I love big parties!!  We always have potato salad, a macaroni AND a pasta salad.  Baked beans are easy todo too.  Chips, Pretzels and Dips.  With that many people, I find it helpful to have  smaller bowls of food.  I'd rather refill things then have it get wasted at the end.  Does your family offer to bring things to parties?
