I saw this on another board and thought that it would be good for our QOTD.
1. How much do you spend on groceries per week?
2. How much do you spend eating out?

Re: QOTD 5/14
1. How much do you spend on groceries per week? $75-100 for just groceries. Add pet stuff, and other odds and ends (lately flowers and other yard stuff), it's usually $100-150 depends on the week.
2. How much do you spend eating out? I budget $300 a month. We've been going over, H LOVES eating out, so I started a set amount. We have 4 dinner and 4 breakfast/Lunches, so $75 weekly if we do one each. This makes H decide more... like when he wanted to go out twice for dinner last week, that that's fine, but then we have 1 more dinner for the rest of the month.
DH and I spend a lot on groceries...we're only 2 people, but we're major foodies and we try to buy organic, non-processed foods whenever possible. I refuse to buy anything that has a laundry list of ingredients that look like they belong in my lab rather than my kitchen. Unfortunately, eating healthy food comes at a higher price most of the time. We spend about $150 a week on groceries.
As far as eating out, we go out about once a week. It's usually to a place like Panera, where dinner for 2 is about $20-30. Occasionally, we'll go out and drop $50-100 on dinner...but since we're saving for our trip to Italy, we've cut way back on that.
1. How much do you spend on groceries per week? It's usually between $80-$150. It's more when we have my two stepdaughters. That number includes pet stuff, bathroom necessities, etc.
2. How much do you spend eating out? It's probably around $300-$400. We need to cut back on eating out, but some days we just don't have it in us to cook and clean up. We are eating healthier now, so I think we'll be saving a good amount just to avoid eating bad at a restaurant.
We spend between $50-80 per week, depending on what I buy. If I buy a lot of meat, I spend closer to $80.
We pretty much never eat out! We might go out once every few months and spend around $40 for dinner.
We spend 75-100 a week on groceries, probably. Sometimes a little more when we need lots of meat, but then it usually lasts us a while.
We probably spend $30 a week on eating out. We used to spend a lot more, so we're doing well.
1- anywhere from $110-$150 depending on what we need that week, usually meat and paper products push us up to the higher side
2- per year, not much--we go out to eat maybe a couple times a year and that is for things like birthdays etc, normally someone else pays, i think we went out to eat for the first time on Saturday this entire year and spent $30. We don't like to eat out as it gets expensive and prefer home cooked meals.
1. How much do you spend on groceries per week?
Honestly, it seems to vary depending on what we are both in a mood for. On average though, it seems to vary somewhere between $30 and $70. I know during our birthdays/us attempting to celebrate our dating anniversary, we may splurge a little bit more for a nicer meal.
2. How much do you spend eating out?
This is one of our BIG weaknesses and unfortunately racks up a good bit of money. We usually have a home cooked dinner for the most part, but we tend to go out for lunch while at work. This tends to be an even bigger problem for DH because of his job position. (Since he is a driver, the options tend to be either fast food or sandwiches)
1. We usually spend about $100/week on groceries. If we need certain things, like paper good, it's usually a bit more. I shop like every other day because I don't like to freeze meat. I always forget to take it out and then it's not defrosted in time to cook.
2. We're trying to cut back more on going out. We try to keep it to one meal out each week. Depending on where we go, it's between $30-$50. H brings his lunch every day to work and eats breakfast at home. I try not to, but like once a week or once every other week, I'll get lunch with people at work. I hate sandwiches, but bring them every day, so usually as soon as someone says, "I'm ordering" I slip my sandwich into the garbage and place a tasty, greasy, unhealthy order.
1. We spend about $125-150 on groceries, when we get them. which leads me to the next question...
2. We spend way to much on going out to eat. One time we spent $700 in a month on eating out. I was sick to my stomach when I realized what we did. We have cut back but there is still some trimming to do.
