Hi! A few weeks back I put up a post about beach vacation recs this summer and I wanted to say THANKS! I literally looked into every response I got and it was all so helpful to get advice on different places. We decided to go to Rehoboth and I can't thank you enough for the recs on it because it seems so perfect for us - I wouldn't have looked into it, but a few of you sold me on it.... So thank you! (sad to have summer fever sooo bad and it's not even Memorial Day! )
Re: Thank you girls!
We just booked our trip to Rehoboth last week. If you have any additional questions or want recommendations, shoot me an email babybloomingbouquetsAT gmail dOT com
You will LOVE Rehoboth!
Thanks girls!
Psychgal: where are you staying? I am surprised at how pricey rentals are there!
Last year we stayed in One Virginia Place. We go in September, so the rates aren't has high as the summer rates. Last year was our first year there and it isn't anything fancy, but we really liked it and are staying there again this year.
It is right on the boardwalk - it also has a pool and is next to a small park/playground area. We stayed in a 2 BR/2 BA with other family members, but my parents stayed in the efficiency, and it was a decent size. (If we were going by ourselves, I wouldn't be against staying in the efficiency with the 4 of us.)
Before last year we rented a house on Hickman Street, which was nice as well, but the rates went up so we decided to try somewhere else and ended up at One Virginia.
They have virtual tours on their website:

We always stay at Avenue Inn and Spa. It is a block to the beach but it has a "bed and breakfast feel" with cheese, wine, and warm chocolate chip cookies every evening. It is super clean (I'm kind of a hotel snob). I love the suites that overlook Rehoboth Avenue (main street). They are just finishing up remodeling too.
As a kid we always stayed at Atlantic Sands Hotel which is right on the boardwalk with ocean view.
If you want to save some money, consider staying a few miles down the shore in Dewey Beach.
