Re: QOTD 5/16

  • Nope.  For a while H had them "displayed" in our living room to be funny.  I just can't find a reason to wear 4in red shoes unless I'm dorothy for Halloween!

  •  Not yet, since it got cool after the wedding. My shoes were gold sandals, so maybe this summer!!

  • Nope, I wore Tom's that had a design on them, like these: http://www.etsy.com/listing/100551442/wedding-toms-shoes?ref=sr_gallery_11&ga_search_query=wedding+toms&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_ship_to=US&ga_search_type=all.  They were sooooo comfy, but I don't think they would be appropriate for everyday wear.

  • Nope.  I could see wearing them at some point though, since they are kind of simple looking white heels.

  • I was just thinking about this the other day.  I would love to wear my wedding shoes again, and hopefully soon.  They were purple heels covered in Swarovski crystals.  H and I would have to go on a fancy date and I'd need to get an outfit to wear them with, but I'm willing to do all of that to wear them again! :-D

  • So the reason this question came up was because I am actually wearing mine today at work.  They are light blue wedge sandals and since it was nice today, I found a top to wear with them.  I love them so much.  :)

  • I haven't yet, and I barely wore them at my wedding.  Breaking your toe, at your bachelorette party one week before your wedding, makes heels difficult!  I hope to be able to wear them soon, since it's finally summer in Minnesota!  We just skipped spring.  One week we get a foot of snow, one week later it's 90.  Never know if I'm going to be wearing a swimsuit or a snowsuit around here.

Yeah, I wear them often.  They are sparkly gold flats:)  I wore them to work a few weeks after the wedding and again this spring.

  • YES! I got Tom's ballet flats in a silver color. I wore them a ton in the fall and again this spring. Every time I wear them I get compliments on them. I love that they can be dressed up and down and I can wear them with jeans or my wedding dress :)

  • No! My wedding shoes were the most uncomfortable thing I've ever put on my feet!

They looked like they would be comfortable when I ordered them. Even when I tried them on in the store they were fine. But, when they came in, they were too big. The bridal shop exchanged them for a 1/2 size down, but then those didn't really fit right either.

I made it through pictures and the ceremony, but quickly switched into wedge flip flops for the reception.

    Never, ever again!

  • I actually ended up throwing mine out a month ago when H and I were getting ready to start the nursery.

They were comfortable but after we took pics in the grass and I kept sinking they were no longer white, especially the heel, i should have tried to clean them right away but i just  threw them in the closet. I figured I would never wear them again so I got rid of them=(

No but I want to.  Mine were blue pointy toe pumps.  The would look adorable with jeans or black pants.  We just never go out anymore where I would wear heals.  Hopefully soon.  They might look cute with dressier shorts also.  Maybe for my birthday next month.

I missed this yesterday (been sick at home and mostly just lying around whining rather than coming on to TN, ha), but yes, a few times--but, I was a Tom's bride too, and used the gray lace ones.

    You can see them here:

(TN is being screwy and not including the picture OR letting me do a link, which is annoying.)

I'll probably wear them more this summer.
