TGIF

What are you doing this weekend?

I took a road trip last weekend that involved a 12-hour car ride overnight, so when I got back on Tuesday, I informed H that I wanted to make NO PLANS this weekend. Unfortunately, we are now going to one of his friends' house for a party tonight, walking in an MS Walk tomorrow (that's fine, I had just forgotten about the walk last week) and going to see "Star Trek" with his mom ans sisters tomorrow afternoon. I would look like a total a-hole if I didn't go to two of those things so now I am stuck. While none of these things is terrible to do, is it totally wrong for me to just want a whole weekend of open calendar?

Re: TGIF

  • More unpacking, organizing and cleaning for me. I'm planning on heading to Walmart at some point to pick up a kiddie pool for the puppy to play in. He loves the water and I can't wait to see him in a little pool having fun :)

Sunday I will probably hit the grocery store and prep things for lunches and dinner next week.

  • Saturday I know I should clean the house, it's so dirty. But I'm exhausted and think I will do laundry and nap.. nap and nap.

Sunday I'm heading out to my parents house to celebrate my dad's bday, his retirement, and maybe mix in mother's day.

  • Tonight I went over to my parents for dinner because DH works.  Tomorrow, I have no clue what we're doing - DH is off!  Sunday, DH closes, so means he's working I think 2pm-10pm.  Which means I'll pick up the house and do a bunch of nothing!

  • This weekend will consist mainly of packing and cleaning. We close on our house in less than two weeks! We haven't packed anything yet, so it's time to get started. Other than that, sleeping in (which is the main reason I look forward to weekends).

  • I'm exhausted. I didn't want to do anything this weekend, but H's co-worker invited us to a comedy club Saturday night. He's only been there a short time so I would've felt bad if I made him turn down the invitation.

It's only 7 and I'm dying to go to bed already because this week was so crazy...
