Re: (Untitled)

  • Have you had a big freeze yet?  My cat gets like this right before the first big freeze of winter.  She has allergies.  She gets this in the spring, too.

If he's never been like this before, then sorry Sad I cant help you.  Smokey's just got allergies, and has otherwise never been sick while she's been with me.

  • when mine was a kitten she came down with a pretty nasty respiratory infection after being spayed -- some sort of reaction from the anesthesia, i think.  it really scared me. but i got some meds from the vet and she was fine in no time.

she's never had anything like it as an adult, so sorry i'm not much help there. i'd just take yours to the vet asap and go from there. GL hope your kittie gets better soon

  • No advice, but I hope your cat is well soon!

  • In early spring Darkness had a runny eye and lots of sneezing. The runny eye freaked me out so I took him to the vet. The vet will check they eye for infection and give you some gel (drops if you're luckier than I) to put on it (yeah, it wasn't easy). But he was totally unconcerned with the sneezing. Said it was just a cold and that they eye might be linked to it.

Darkness, however, was eatting. Not eatting (especially favorite foods) would concern me more than sneezes. Definately a vet sitiuation.

Hope the kitty feels better soon!

Well, we definitely need kitty prayers.  DH called about half an hour ago and said that he got home to pick our cat up to take him to the vet, and the cat was in the exact spot he was when he left this morning.  He fought to get in the carrier (nothing new there) but couldn't even meow because he was so congested.  I really am worried now and I feel like I can't concentrate until I hear something about how he's doing.

Poor baby :( I dont have any advise, but please keep us updated.

  • This sounds like a respiratory infection but I guess it could be allergies. None of my cats have had allergies but a few times we've delt with RI's.

Let the vet check it out for certain. He/she will probably prescribe antibiotics for kitty.

Keep us posted please! In the meantime will send kitty prayers your way!

  • Kali, Darkness and I are totally sending good kitty vibes.

Let us know how the little one fares.

  • Timothy, Sophie and Max send bites, I mean, kisses.

    I hope he's better soon!
