Calling for rain in Riviera Mayan-Advice?
Hello,
So I've been watching the weather forecast for next
week in Mexico, I know a lot can change between now and then, but they
are calling for rain a few days while we are there. I'm not terribly
disappointed by this possibility, however am curious to know who has
travel to Mexico late May and how much rain you got? Did you do any
excursions when they were calling for rain? We are headed to RM, and
will be doing the Tulum visit, I'm considering visiting Tulum on one of
these overcast days, thoughts?

I went in late April last year, and rain was in the forecast for the entire week. It ended up raining twice. Each time was for 30minutes - 1 hour. It seems to always be in the forecast since you are right off the coast, and it is likely that it will happen. But it didn't stick around for long.
We didn't do any excursions in Riviera Maya, but we did in Dominican in August while Hurricane Issac was rolling through. They still had us go out in the scattered rain and all of the wind. At the time we didn't know it was a hurricane coming. It was definitely an experience though.
