"[gasp] He touched the butt!"
Gooooood morning! happy Monday.
I hope everyone had fantastic weekends. H and I enjoyed our mini trip to Pittsburgh. :-) On the way home we started discussing our trip to Australia and hopefully New Zealand. yippee.
Whats up with you?
Re: "[gasp] He touched the butt!"
Gah, yet another quote I don't know.
Glad you had a fun trip and how exciting to plan your trip down under!! Visiting Australia is definitely on my bucket list.
Not much going on here. I have today and tomorrow off of work for no reason other than I needed to use up vacation days before the end of June (they expire June 30th). I have to leave in a little bit to take my car in. Something has been recalled so they need to repair it. Then I'll be doing yardwork and going for a run.
I need to get up and start getting ready but I have a sleeping kitty on my lap and I feel bad waking her up (even if she doesn't have the same qualms about waking us up.) She just looks so peaceful, it's adorable.
I've also decided that I'm getting old. DH and I went to a wedding on Saturday and my knees were killing me while dancing. And it took me most of yesterday to recover (and not even because I was hungover because I wasn't!) I'm definitely not 21 anymore, that's for sure.
Have a great day today ladies!

Hmmm...it sounds familiar...I know I'm going to end up googling it.
My weekend was good. Nothing too exciting. We went to Olive Garden Saturday night and it felt like they were dealing with a big cluster fluck. The waitress in our section had too many tables I think and she would disappear for quite a long time. We didn't have any problems with her, but other tables in our section did. I felt kind of bad for her.

ok I give you a hint.
Just keep swimming, just keep swimming swimming swimming. :-)
Wahoo for random days off! I hope its productive AND relaxing for you. Oh and I totally get you on the feeling old thing. My knee, the one I had surgery on 9yrs ago, now hurts almost every time I go up stairs. I am NOT ok with this. Nope not at all.
Oh and E! We went to the National Aviary in Pittsburgh this weekend and I thought of you.

HI Kris! glad it was a chill weekend. I haven't been to the OG in forever!

I can't believe you girls don't know that movie!! Shame.
Aggie - What else did you do in the Burgh?! How was the game? Did you pick the winner for the pierogi race?
E - Ya for days off! Did you wear your blue dress to the wedding?
What do you all have planned for your anniversary? I think most of left are May 21st ladies.
I gave away my shift tomorrow so DH&I could go to dinner. Now I just need to decide where to go. There's a few places in Williamsport I've got on my list, just need to pick one.
ETA: My weekend was ok. I worked job 2, so I watched lots of movies on tv. haha. Yesterday was stressful though because she was having a not good day, so I had to fight with her to do the simplest things like go to the bathroom. Oh well. DH put our gardens in this weekend. Hopefully they grow!

Hi! Sounds like overall people had good weekends. Mine was nice. On Friday night we went out on a date which was awesome. We've been so busy with baby stuff and my dad stuff that we haven't had just us time out with nothing to do in a couple months. I know we're about to go back there when the baby comes, but it was so nice to have a relaxing night! Then on Saturday we went to Sam's Club to stock up on a few things and yesterday we completed our baby registry. Ugh, that was a chore and a half! At least it's behind us now.
@Aggie, so glad you had fun in Pittsburgh!
@Liz, I'm super jealous of your days off for no reason. I can't wait for the long weekend!
@JLQ, sounds like your weekend left something to be desired. Your anniversary plans sound good. We're grilling steaks tomorrow and going to the Melting Pot on Saturday night.
Anyone else have a long weekend?
my read shelf:
jlq we went to Pitt Campus and visited the nationality rooms. It was so incredible! http://www.pitt.edu/~natrooms/pages/about_nr.html a link about what the nationality rooms are.
We also took an incline train up "mount" Washington to a fancy dinner with a view overlooking the city.
Sun we tried to have a yummy breakfast but no one cooperated they were soo busy! So we basically just went to the baseball game and headed home. It was just what we needed though.
Hi lois I am glad you had a chill weekend. Its wont be long before your little one is here and then chill goes out the window! But it will be a whole new form of fun
Yep I have a 3 day weekend next weekend. Our clinic is actually closed! H has a 4 day weekend this weekend. His work's holiday schedule is ridiculous.
Lois - I can't believe how far along you are! When did that happen ?!?
Aggie- that is literally my worst nightmare! I hope you had fun though!
Jlq- yes, I wore the blue dress. Although I almost changed within five nutes of leaving because when I asked DH how the dress looked his response was, "we'll it's a little baggy." Seriously DH? Then he couldn't fathom why my self confidence plummeted and wanted to change. Ugh, he's usually so good about stuff like that. After I calmed down I informed him that " baggy" was never an acceptable response.

I am currently enjoying a Canadian long weekend here. We didn't do much. My sister came down so we did some shopping. I bought some tops which will fit me for all of a month or two before I expand....probably not the best purchases but they were on a gift card so it's all good. It's super nice out today so ds was playing with his water table this morning and loving it!
DH and I are going out for dinner tonight for our anniversary celebrations! I am excited!!!!
e - that is crazy that your dh said that. BOO him! I am also dreading all of our weddings this year a) because I am an old lady stuck in a young lady's body as it is and b) I have exhaustion from pregnancy to add to it. Freaking heck! The first one is in 2 weeks! YEAH!!
You're telling me! It's surreal how close it is.
PS, I can't believe your H said your dress was baggy. You'd think he would know better than to use that kind of word....MEN!
Oooh I love the Incline! It's such a nice view!! I've never been the the Nationality rooms, but they sound great. Booo about breakfast. I'm glad you had a good time, though!
my read shelf:
I can't believe your H said that! Boooo H! Baggy is never an acceptable response. It's totally something my H would say, too.
