Manic Monday

How did everyones weekend turn out? Highs and lows? And how was your Monday?

I've been swamped with work. Friday I worked on my day off because a coworker was really sick. It was a mess with a lot of rolls from the day before. Then Saturday I was alone with around 24 babies on one floor alone. That was an 11 hour work day for me. Sunday the new new girl came in to help. I really like her. I left a bit early sunday (5pm) because I wanted to go see Star Trek and have a break. Today we each had 3 babies to photo. It was fantastic. The rest of my day was spent at the nail salon and grocery shopping.

Weekend High was Star Trek

Weekend low having to be the responsible one at work and working to the point of exhaustion.

Well, there's the obvious, but I'll only talk about the good things that went on this weekend.

I got out of the house on Sunday & went to DH's softball game.  They won 18-8!  It was a beautiful day & I laid out on the sun while DH cut the grass.  And I worked on some bridal shower invitations & boards full of pictures for my brother's open house.

  • I am soooo busy at work! That's how my Monday went. I'm cramming a lot into my 8 hours days, so I'm not able to be on here as much :-(

As for my weekend - On Saturday, DH and I planted flowers! It was DH's idea, and we love them. We went and got a whole bunch of different flowers :-)

On Sunday - I worked for a little over an hour. But it was so nice outside, I sat outside with the laptop and worked. Then I proceeded to read outside. Needless to say - My shoulders (well one of them) is a little burnt now. Oops!

Okay - well, back to work :-(

  • We had our baby shower this weekend so we were very busy and it was an exhausting weekend. There was lots of time spent visiting with friends who came a long way to see us. Sunday DH had two softball games and they won both. It was really hot though and kind of uncomfortable.
  • Weekend was pretty good overall. Spent Saturday cleaning and running errands. Sunday we worked in the yard trying to get our sprinklers figured out for the summer. Got the puppy in the kiddie pool and he was just loving life :)

Monday was ok. Busy at work all day and then went back to Crossfit for the first time in about four months. It was rough but I'm so glad to be getting back to it and to our normal schedule after all of the house buying and moving craziness.

  • We have a lot of DH's playing softball!  DH's league hasn't started yet, but soon!

Saturday my parents came over and watched Lillian while I went for a MUCH needed mani/pedi and eyebrow wax!  DH played in a golf outing that we always played in with his dad.  I am not ready to start golfing after the C-section.  They definitely missed having his dad there, but the outing organizers offered a special memorial prize for his dad.  I went to the bar with DH to see the prizes awarded.

Sunday, MIL watched Lillian while DH and I did yard work and went out for a nice dinner.  It's ridiculously hard to get yard work done right now with her.  We need to get better at multitasking with her!

Tomorrow I'm off to see the Orthopeadic Surgeon for my wrist that I think has a torn ligament/tendon.  I tried to kill a spider with my shoe with that hand on Sunday and I caused even more damage to the wrist.   Yow.
