We use CDs. We went the cheap route, but they do the job just fine. I like the Royal Plush ones. My favorites are cow print and this awesome royal purple.
24? I'd like to get another dozen or so to stretch out our laundry loads. Right now we wash every 3 days. If we could stretch it to every 4 and have more in the load, I'd be a happy camper.

I have 30 prefolds and 6 nb covers and 8 Flips covers and probably near 30 inserts.

We are definition of cd'ers to lower costs. We have 36 precious (30 purchased second hand), 12 fitteds that barely fit anymore, 5 flip organic nighttime inserts, 2 bg free times (not my favorite, they aren't great for holding his pee). There are probably 14 covers but 6 are pretty much too small.
I don't really feel the urge to buy more since our goal is to stay low cost. Our total diaper cost is somewhere less than $300 total over the course of 7 months of life.
I wash every 4-5 days. Sometimes 6.

30?!!?!? For 2 babies?!!? I would LOVE to make my own... but I haven't got the nerve up yet. Maybe once my PUL from my sister gets here. (She picked some up for me for $2.99 a yard!)

I have spent maybe $375 total on diapers- we are def doing it for money savings too. That total also includes my stash of smaller diapers. Which means $375 for 53 diapers.. IMO not so bad!

We def went cheap too- I have like 10 different brands that I picked up for under $10 a diaper a bunch of them under $5. I just really fell for that silly lobster diaper. I think it was the Mainer in me!
I wash every 3 days (mostly because I only have 4 diapers that can do an overnight) but with 35 diapers I never run out I could prob go 4-5.

We love our BG 4.0s for everyday use. We probably have close to 30 of those, but that is partially because we have enough aplix to go 3 days at daycare since I wash CDs every other day.
My splurges have been on Twinkie Tush fitteds and a handful of the Night Night diapers. They are incredibly absorbent and DD is a super pee-er, especially at night. She pees out of pockets overnight no matter what we stuff them with.
