Hi girls,
Does anyone have a good idea on how to finish the end of bead strands in order to make a multi-strand beaded necklace? I want a really cute clasp but anticipating 4-6 strands that will need to be tied into the clasp.
Also, any websites for beading materials would be awesome if you have recommendations!
Thanks!
Re: beaded twist necklaces?
This is a hobby of mine, but I've just figured things out as I go, not sure of websites.
You are going to want to buy "crimps", which are open metal tubes or round shaped and you put your strand ends through them and "crimp" them with a jewelry pliers. They come in various sizes, check around the aisle at the hobby stores. You will put your strands through the crimp, make a loop at the other end of the crimp, put the strand ends back through, crimp, then cut any ends left.
You can buy various clasps that attach to the looped end you've left.
This is the method I've always used, and while not a pro, it's worked for me.
