A friend suggested i check it out earlier so i sat down and did, and it is nothing but pure ignorance and people are just plain strange there... I don't mean to offend anyone on here that is currently over there, but i'm not sure what i did to piss anyone off but all i did was say a simple hello and was bombarded with rude people... Anyone else?

ed: Never mind; I found it. Yeah, people on the new ML tend to be fairly educated, and therefore sticklers for at least reasonably proper grammar. It's a good practice at all times, really.
This is a time when having context is helpful. Fairly recently, there have been two internet-scandal things on that particular board where someone who had a very dramatic and heart-wrenching story was discovered to be lying. It had been predicted that these people would come back under new names and pretend to be new (because that tends to happen a lot when someone is embarrassed under one screen name), and unfortunately for you, that was exactly when you decided to try out the board.
It was unfortunate timing mixed with iffy grammar.
