Since we haven't have a pet post in a while...Do you have any pets? Details? If you don't have a pet, do you ever plan on getting one?

Re: QOTD 5/24
No pets! I always had a dog growing up and loved it. but since I've moved out of my mom's house, I realize how much work pets are and gross they are. ughh so much shedding, and drooling, and they demand so much attention. definitely don't want a pet. but, I'm sure one day the kids will beg for a dog and my mom will guilt me into getting them one by saying "you always wanted a dog when you were a kid, and I never told you no!". I think H will want a dog or cat when we get settled in a house.
I always so animals are so gross I won't even eat them (I'm a vegetarian). ha
We have no pets at our house. I can't stand the smell of cats/dogs in the house. Plus animal hair drives me insane. I shed really bad, I don't need animal hair on top of that. We have brand new carpets too, I don't need puppy accidents or cat barf on them.
All of my pets are at my parents farm. We have a dairy goat hobby farm of about 30-40 goats. 10 of those are mine, and run up to the fence when they see me. We mostly show. We're thinking about going Grade A dairy so I can sell cheese. Oh, and DH and I are getting a piglet this year to raise for meat. Mmmmm bacon!
We don't have any pets right now...they're not allowed in the town house that we rent : (
DH and I really want to get a golden retriever though! We love dogs!
I didn't grow up with any pets. I always wanted a dog, but I grew up living with my mom and grandparents and my grandmother wouldn't let us get a dog : (
DH grew up with dogs. His family has had 2 golden retrievers and they currently have a yellow lab/pit bull mix.
Yep! We have a puggle (Pug + beagle) named Hunter. He'll be 3 next month.
Funny story getting him (if you were on TK in the early times, you know this): In college, I used to run to the park. They had this pet shop you can hold the puppies. I went like once a month on my jogs. I feel in love with puggles. LOVE THEM. I looked up the breed and it just seemed like the the perfect match for me. I told H this, but we were in an apt so it wasn't going to happen.
FF we settled on the house 26 May (geez 2 years this weekend!). By 2 June, H asked if I wanted a puggle. I'm like um we just build a BRAND NEW HOUSE, idk about a puppy right now. He's like well M (girl he has class with), has one that needs a home or he'll go to a shettler. I'm like oh man... idk. So she calls me. Here her BF's sister keeps getting dogs and sending them to a shettler. She had/has 6 kids and another dog and couldn't do it. Tells me all about him, how he's such a love bug, and all. I'm like idk, can we come see him. Well, we saw him and brought him home. Best decision ever. I LOVE HIM! He's such good company since H works nights.
We have one dog, Dutch. He'll be 2 sometime this summer. He was a rescue dog, so we're not sure what breed he is, but we're pretty sure he's a boxer/pitbull mix. He's the biggest baby in the world. We got him on September 11, 2011. H went to PetsMart to get some fish food for the aquarium and they were having an adopt-a-thon with about 7-8 local shelters in the parking lot. There were probably 150 dogs there, at least! Dutch was in the kennel right next to the door, and H says he didn't pet him, pick him up, or anything, he just looked over and saw him.
H met me and his mom for lunch and immediately said, "Jennifer, I found a dog we have to have." H is not one to be swayed by how cute they are. He loves dogs and everything, he just is able to resist that fuzzy cuteness. So we agreed for the three of us to go over there after lunch and just take a look. We held him for a little while and he was just terrified. He was skin and bones, had scabs from fleas, and just shook while we held him. We put him back and walked around and I couldn't get his scrawny little face out of my head. We headed home because H had to get to work, and so later I met our roommate over there to meet him and see if he thought Dutch would get along with Grace, our roomies pughuahua (pug/chihuahua mix). He said we could give it a whirl, and we've had him ever since! The whole quiet and calm thing only lasted a few days!! He's a wild man, but I love him more than anything in the world. I'm going to be horribly obnoxious when I have human babies! haha.
We have two kitties, Noel and Tulip. We got Noel for Christmas in 2011 and Tulip around Valentines Day 2012. They are about the same age and will be two in October. They are so sweet and love each other. Noel is the more sociable one and will love all over you. Tulip was a barn cat and never had any human interaction until we adopted her. It took about a year for her to really feel comfortable with us. Now, she loves to lay next to me in bed, she'll hang out with me in our bathroom while I'm getting ready and loves to talk to me. If I'm just standing there, she'll just rub all over me legs and meow like crazy. It's so cute.
We've been talking about getting a dog, but I'd really like a dog that doesn't shed which we'd more than likely have to get a full bred dog for that and I would hate to spend money on a dog when there are so many that need homes. But I know myself; if we go to a shelter, I'll fall in love with every dog there and it will be hard to say no to a great dog because it sheds and then I'll get frustrated every time I see hair on the furniture and floor.
We don't have pets either. We decided that when we moved in together that we wouldn't get any pets. I sometimes wish that we had a cat, but then I think of the litter box, cat hair, additional grocery bill, vet bills, etc and I don't want one anymore.
My parents did just recently drop a small bomb on us that they are expecting us to take care of their three cats while they go to Australia for an entire YEAR. Hey thanks...
We don't own any pets. We live in my parents' basement and they have a dog named Bacon. We absolutely love him. He's an old, grouchy man, but he is so loveable and cuddly.
H has always had a dog and is dying to get a house so we can get our own. The problem is I have the worst allergies in the world. As much as I love Bacon, my eyes and lips swell when I'm around him and I become a giant mess. Same thing when we visit H's parents.
I would love to be able to have a dog for my H. I know it would make him so happy. I'm not sure my allergies could stand it
We have 2 cats right now. H's cat is a 4 year old tabby with a white belly and a loving personality, named Lily. My kitty is a 3 year old "muted" Calico (greys, creams, peaches in her coloring) with an addiction/obsession with our laser pointer and a loud mouth, named Moxie.
H would like to have a dog, but we live in an apartment right now with no yard space, so we both agree that it wouldn't be fair to bring a dog into our home at this point.
We had my H's dog living with us for a month or so but she was misbehaving a lot so we sent her back to H's parents house. She was used to living with 2 other dogs and we think she got bored and lonely.
We have a 6 month old kitten now named Venelope. We want to get some dogs when we have kids. H is always changing his mind about what kind! Currently it's an Australian Shepard-Border Collie mix. Last week it was a Springer Spaniel. A
