We're going to Kauai in July for our 10 year anniversary. It's sneaking up on me and I don't have a ton of time to research. We're staying in Poipu and will have a car. I'm looking for recommendations on excursions, hikes, snorkeling spots, food and a good luau. Please help.

Re: Kauai recs please
We took a catamaran tour of the Napali Coast. It was the highlight of our honeymoon. We used Holo Holo Charters:

Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one's lifetime.

Hey I haven't been on here for awhile but I thought I'd reply to this. You will absolutely love Kauai! I've been a few times and it's a fave of mine and my H's.
Definitely do a catamaran cruise along the Na Pali Coast, it's stunning. Go to the Waimea Canyon. We loved the snorkeling at Ke'e Beach at the very end of the road on the North Shore, make sure you're there for the sunset too, it's a real sight to see with the Bali Hai in the backdrop. The Smith Family Luau is the best on the island, we really enjoyed it, great food & the entertainment was very good too. There are too many good places to eat... the Beach House is lovely for a romantic sunset dinner, Merriman's is very good too, and we really like Tip Top Cafe for breakfast, it's not a fancy joint at all but they make the best banana macadamia nut pancakes and so cheap.
That's all I can think of for now, my mind is blanking on the rest... I need to go again, haha!
