What do you just let slip?
What are the things that you know you shouldn't do as a parent but you do anyway?
Re: What do you just let slip?
You've heard what I've done, not what I've been through.
If you were in my shoes, you'd fall the first step."
I remember my best friend telling me when her 3 year old was a few months old about how surprised she was with allowing him to watch Sprout in the morning as she got ready for work. I think it is common when you are trying to get something done in order to leave on time.
Our one niece watches Mickey Mouse Clubhouse all the time and has since she was able to pay attention to it. It drives DH and I nuts when we go over, because all she wants to do is watch tv. She'll be 3 in July.
When E was a newbie, she slept on me in my bed. It was the only way anyone was getting any sleep. We also took her out in public every day for the first week of life. She loves to watch hockey. Sometimes when she is super fussy, we park her bouncy seat in front of the tv to calm her down.
We have the TV on almost all the time, which is very different for us. And it's not kids' programming because we know L doesn't know what he's watching. So he ends up watching things like Dr. Phil.
I also let him nap with a blanket which I swore I wouldn't do until after he was 1.
Congrats to both my TTC buddies, Amberley18 and sb2006 on their beautiful babies!
We have disney junior or nick jr on a lot. She'll watch some of it but she'll mostly play with her stuff. I wouldn't say she's addicted though...or at least I hope she won't be.
I do not restrict what she wants to eat. most kids I know are very picky eaters so I let her eat anything she wants. I'm sure soon enough she'll start denying all kinds of food so I'll take what I can get now. Note: she eats lots of veggies and fruits.

Lately it has been bath time. We were very strictly every other night for the longest time but recently if she isn't dirty or we don't have anything going on we let it slide for a few days....or more.

I do both of these. We have tons of newborn clothes, but they just don't fit. We had to run out and get premie outfits. We don't have a bunch and they work for day & sleep. No harm.
hmm, I also eat while holding one.. I hate doing this.
Paci on day 3, I wanted to wait 4 weeks.
