Anyone make money blogging?!
Ok, so I never even realized that bloggers actually make money by writing blogs! Until this morning I came across a blog that stated so. I was very intrigued by this as I feel this is something I could do. Being a SAHM the extra income no matter what it is would be great. So, are there any bloggers out there who would mind giving me insight and being a mentor?
Re: Anyone make money blogging?!
Sorry, but it is really tough to make money blogging. If it were easy, everyone would do it!
You make money in two ways: selling stuff and advertising. It takes time, great content, and effort to build up enough traffic to make money. Advertising is based on CPM-that's cost per thousand views. Most ad network CPMs are between $3-5. So if you get a thousand people to visit your blog every day, you'll make a whopping $3/day.
Don't spend it all in one place.
I have some friends who make full time income blogging, but they definitely work a TON of hours and it took them awhile to get where they are. They also earn income writing for other sites, being virtual assistants, and one mentors other bloggers for a fee (if you're interested, her blog is http://andreadekker.com/ )
I work full time at a job Iove so my blog is more of a hobby. I do make a couple hundred a month doing paid posts.
It depends on your goal? If you have a business, products or services you are doing already. Creating your blog to help give value to your readers is a way to lead them towards what you are promoting. Thus, indirectly your blog is making you money!
I love blogging and find it is a great way to let people know about me and what I do!
From what I understand on getting paid to blog, as your readership goes up, other companies may take noticed and pay you to add a ad/link to their site. But, that takes time and you have to get noticed.
For example, if you a new mom and give tons of tips, advice to new moms... Maybe one day Pampers will want to advertise with you! Think about gaining sponsors!
Just start writing! It can turn into an amazing world!
