How good are Command strips?
We will be renting IL's house and they have wood paneling through most of the of the house. I would like to hang pictures on the walls, but don't want to put a bunch of nail holes in the walls.
I thought of using those Command strips that can be removed once you are done, but DH doesn't think they will work very well.
Does anyone have any experience with using those strips? Any other ideas of what can be used to hang pictures besides nails?
Thanks.
Re: How good are Command strips?
I have used Command strips to hang backpacks, bags, wreaths, sweaters, and tools outside in the garage. I think that they work very well, and I have attached them to drywall, wooden doors, mirrors, and plastic. The trick that I have used is to make sure that you let the Command hook and strip has about 5-10 minutes to adhere to the surface before you hang anything from it.
In terms of other options, could you use wire to have them hanging from the ceiling like museums use? It would be easier to patch a small cup-hook hole in the ceiling if it's plaster/drywall instead of making a hole in the wood paneling.
