I have had my cc since college always with a paid off balance. Dh has had his credit card also since college. He use to carry a balance but we did a consolidation loan between a few of his loans 6 years ago which we paid off and since have not carried a balance on that card either. About 4 years ago I became an authorized user on his card and now only use my own personal cc if I am buying a store specific christmas present for dh and I don't want him to know about (ie the hunting store).
Does not using my card hurt my credit at all?

Re: s/o joint cc's

"You know you're in love when you don't want to fall asleep because reality is finally better than your dreams." - Dr. SeussBe sure to use your own cc on occasion so that you maintain a good status with the company and they do not close it.
You want to have good credit in your own name and not have everything joint for your own financial protection.
