Weightloss Wednesday

How is everyone doing? 

I am also wondering how everyone stays motivated?  I can't be the only one having this problem.

  • Cathy - I'd like to know too!  I've been such a slacker lately.  I walk on nice days at lunch, but haven't been to the gym in WEEKS.  I gain/lose the same 1.5-2 lbs.  I have my follow up appt Friday so maybe dr will have something for me.

  • I've been doing really great at working out 6 days a week.  Except, I got sick on Monday and am just starting to feel better today.  I'm not going to run on my lunch like I normally do, I'm going to walk on the treadmill and read.  Going to slowly get back to it.  I'm down 3.5lbs from last week but I think that has a lot to do with having been sick.  But I will take it!  Now the trick it keeping it off and losing the remaining 10.5lbs!
  • I've been doing really good.  I worked out 5 days last week and took Sunday and Monday off.  I've been eating really good and even at a party this weekend, I didn't drink one bit of alcohol (that was really hard!!). I haven't weight myself, and I don't think I want to any time soon.  Last time I did, I hadn't lost any weight and that was a little upsetting.

    I'm part of a facebook group that is all about fitness and health.  It's all women that post encouraging photos, healthy recipes, fitness advice, and goals.  That's helped a lot.  I also printed off some pictures and taped them up around my house.  I have three that are posted on the dry side of the glass part of my shower and I see it every morning.  One says, "The voice inside your head saying you can't do this is a liar", another that says "Want it, work for it" and another that says "You're one day closer to your goal".

    It also helps that H and I work together and we are both dieting and working out, so we are constantly reminding each other to stay on track.

  • It was a rough weekend. A LOT of beer was consumed.

    I do my best to stay motivated using MFP and contributing to some of their message boards. I also have an inspiration board on Pinterest and find that cruising the Health & Fitness board there helps.

  • I'm down 7 pounds overall. I did really bad last week/over the weekend, but I really started getting back into it yesterday. I have a friend who I text for motivation, but she tends to use me more for motivation than I need her. H is pretty good about motivating me, even though he doesn't do well on a diet. I can't exercise a lot right now because of my knee :-/ Not sure what to do about that one. I can hopefully convince H to go to the swimming pool at the gym with me so I can try laps.

    Another way I stay motivated is that I have a list of weight loss rewards printed out in a pretty font and color that I have posted on my bathroom wall. It's got specific items or activities that I want to do and I can once I lose the weight. My biggest reward is to do a boudoir photo shoot :)

    I am the so far from motivated.  I can barely even see that "motivated" line.

    I'm eating ok.  Trying everything in my power to have will power.  I went to town on the Cheez Its last night which I regretted after.  It is taking every last bit of strength I have to avoid the ice cream that I have in the freezer.  H has eaten about half of it and I just watch.  

    I need to get myself moving.  I am going to a wedding next weekend in Montauk on the east end of Long Island.  I was hoping it could be a beach weekend, but it's looking like it'll only be around 70 degrees, so I think it'll be a fun explore a new place for H and I(although I've been there many times).

    My 30th is 3 weeks from today.  A while back I wanted to be at my goal by then.  I know I won't make it now unless I go on a strict diet and really crank up the exercise, but if I don't get moving at all I won't even be near that goal.
