birthday cake recs please
Idiot me forgot to look into where to get DS's birthday cake and his party is in less than two weeks. The party is in Plymouth Meeting but we live in the far NE so either works. Any suggestions?
Our little hippo was as impatient as mom!
Hoping for a full 40 weeks!!
Re: birthday cake recs please
that's the thing... I want a cute cake but they are SOOOOO expensive and I cannot justify spending $70 on a 10 person cake! We have to get a sheet cake for the rest of the party because it is so big but I want something cute for him. I'll have to go check out the books and see what they have!!
I'll second Whole Foods! We paid $50 for a sheet cake that fed 25-30 ppl. Their smaller round cakes are around $30 I think. They always overestimate too. We had 20 people and got a quarter sheet cake. It was wayyyy too big. We would have been fine with a round cake.

Shoprite also does free cakes for 1st birthdays. We got a free round cake.
Acme does a free cake as well.
