candy buffet?

So I'm helping host a bridal shower in July.  I thought about doing a small candy buffet, in her wedding colors (black, red & white).

Did any of your guys do this at your wedding (or any other party..)?  Where did you get your candy?

I don't really want bulk amounts, I don't think we'll need much. I'm thinking Sams, etc might be too much.  (I'll check it out though..)

I noticed party city has a bunch of candy in different colors, just not sure if that's any good?

Re: candy buffet?

  • Since you don't need much, you could even just hit up the grocery store or CVS or something.  Do you have any local candy places that have things that maybe aren't commercially produced, or at least widely sold?

Don't use that Party City candy. It tastes like it's from 1987, at least the kind I bought did. :)

Haha, that's what I was thinking. At least it looked that way to me.

And good idea, I should just check out a grocery store type place, and see what I can come up with.

This. I would go find a local candy store and see what they have to offer. If you have certain colors see if they will be able to order some candy they don't have

  • I would say Walmart/Meijer.  Could also go to the Candy Shop in Greenwood Park Mall or Circle Centre!  Espeically if you're wanting certain colors, the candy shop would be a good idea I think.

  • I know you can get specific colored knock-off m&ms at meijer where they have the bulk candy. They don't taste half bad either...though I am partial to the real thing myself.
