Why is it the short weeks always feel longer?
so happy to welcome the weekend though. What does everyone have planned?
Tonight after work is EJ's pre-k graduation (though monday she goes right back like nothing ever happened... yea daycare). and I promised her Red Robin for dinner. Tomorrow I may take her to the zoo (we have not been there in over a year!?!?!) and then spend the rest of the day hanging out in the neighborhood. I kinda want to repaint my front door (thinking green) to brighten up the front of the house but the logistics of that on a very hot day do not seem very easy, as there is no screen door and the AC is running. Perhaps I will get the paint and just do a first coat early sunday.
7 days until the pool work should start. sigh.
Re: TGIF!
I know what you mean! I have a love hate relationship with short weeks
Tonight - Aldi/Sam's Club shopping
Tomorrow - Finishing some cleaning around the house (I'm tackling the upstairs, DH is taking on the basement). And hockey!
Sunday - I'm cohosting a baby shower for a friend of mine, so that will take up a good chunk of the day.
The short week was especially cruel to me...I was supposed to be off on Tuesday, but had to change that and not take PTO that day because my boss is leaving for a 2 week vacay and I'm in charge (holla!), so we had a lot to go over.
Tonight - the last of Noah's birthday celebrations, my family is coming over for cake and to give him their gifts.
Tomorrow - soccer tournament in the early afternoon, wedding in the evening
Sunday - no plans
Tonight--pizza picnic at the new house/picking rocks out of the yard,
We don't have any solid plans for the weekend. Although I'm hoping to squeeze in a bike ride between rain drops. And I will definitely need to go grocery shopping at some point and I want to take a trip to the outlets.
This week did feel short for me which was nice! I had a 4 day work week last week, this week and am off Monday so next week will be another one. Yay! I could get used to this!
Tonight: have to get a little cleaning done. Hoping to get in a run late once it cools off.
Saturday: dd has a pony party at a stable. It will be HOT! Afterwards more cleaning because of Sunday plans
Sunday: dd's friend birthday party!!! I can't wait! I am desperately hoping it isn't a washout. The last 2 years it has torrentially downpoured! It sucks because I hate being stuck inside with this many people. 7 girls total plus a couple siblings and about 14 parents. I'm hoping we can spread out to the backyard/deck! Plus since it will be warm I'd like to set up dd's sprinkler and I got water balloons
Monday: part of my weekend since we are taking it off. Dh and my 8th wedding anniversary is Tuesday so we decided to just celebrate onMonday so we could make it a 3 day weekend. Sending the kid to daycare and probably going to lunch and a movie. We won't have a babysitter on Tuesday so this is our chance to get out.
Short week and my boss has decided to have summer hours and we get to leave at 4 on Fridays.
Tonight: Murphy has to go to the vet because at 14 they still want to do blood work to make sure his arthritis medicine isn't affecting his kidneys and liver. Seriously, the dog is 14 and spends most of his life laying in my living room or hallway and I have to take him out in 90 degree weather. This should be fun! Then after I get him home, I have to go to Home Depot and pick up my vanity, drywall and an exhaust fan.
Saturday: Nathan is working on the bathroom, they are finishing the plumbing and drywall is going in. Goal is to get that all done so my BIL can lay the floor on Sunday. I have to weed and tend to our insanely overgrown perennial beds and lay mulch.
Sunday: Hopefully BIL is coming over to lay the floor and I need to get a pedicure.
Short weeks always drag, and I am always out of whack trying to figure out what day it is. I just got back last night after traveling for work, so I am especially ready for the weekend (and a nap).
Tonight - I am playing Bunco with some work peeps.
Saturday - Hair appointment for me, T-Ball, birthday party
Sunday - Boy's haircuts, birthday party
Have a great weekend!
Tonight we are going out to dinner and shopping for birthday presents - we have three birthday parties this weekend and one next weekend. All are for kids that my kids really like, otherwise we would have declined a couple of them!
Saturday - chores and errands, then we split up and each take a kid to a party.
Sunday - Brunch, another birthday party, Heather's soccer game and then a neighborhood festival if we aren't just all ready to collapse!
Somewhere in there I have a class handout to finish, meals to plan and groceries to buy. And piles of clutter to try to deal with.
This morning I sent my kid to the babysitter wearing a swim diaper and no pants. Obviously I'm in dire need of a weekend (and more diapers...). Ha ha!
Tonight Logan and I are hanging out with my parents.
Saturday is a bit insane. I was thinking about taking Logan to story time at the library, but we also got a grad party invite for one of my youth group kids so we might pop over there instead. Then my sister and I are taking my mom to tea at The Terrace Room at the Omni as a Mother's Day gift, which I'm really looking forward to. From there Logan and I are going to my friend's little guy's birthday party while Tim goes to a going away party. From there I plan to collapse.
Sunday I have a baby shower and probably dinner with the family.
Even though it's crazy, I'm just happy to be staying in Pittsburgh after all the traveling I did in May.
TGIF!
Today is Gavin's end of year Mass for the Kindergarten classes. I've been warned to bring tissues, as the slideshow is a tearjerker! After that, I have to run a couple of errands.
Tonight, we have a showing at 5:30, so it might be park and picnic dinner.
Saturday: Karate at 10:45, then a repeat showing at 1. I'm headed to work the side job for 2ish. DH will just do Dad duty and watch the hockey game.
Sunday: nothing, I hope!
My three sons!
I'm off today & just finished taking j to the dentist and I'm treating to a trip to the new splash park by us. Steve's going away with my dad to finish redoing the lake house living room , so I'm solo with the kids.
Mtomorrow we're going to the zoo & burgatory with his favorite preschool teacher. Sunday hanging out at home. Then my cousins coming over to watch the boys & Steve & I are seeing Pitbull & Ke$ha
Tonight - hanging out at home with the kiddos
Saturday - Autism walk at noon and then the kids are spending the night with my parents and I am going out for a girls night!
Sunday - Gary is taking Nolan to a b-day party, Hayden is spending the day with my parents and I am heading to the Pirate game for with co-workers
