  • 1.  What are you most excited about when it comes to welcoming a new baby (ies) into your home?

-Having a family and seeing DH with her. He is going to be such a great daddy. :)

    2.  What are you most nervous about?

-My three dogs and how they will react. I don't anticipate any of them hurting the baby or anything like that, but Im nervous about if they'll feel really neglected.

    3. What is one important life lesson that you hope to teach your children?

-Not to stress the small stuff and to just enjoy being a kid.

    4. Are you passing anything down to your LO?

-I have stuffed animals and dolls from when I was a kid that I'll goe to her when she's ready. :)

    5. When is your baby shower?

-July 13th! And July 27th. :) I have one for family and then just a small barbecue at our house for friends.

    6. What is your current living situation and how will baby fit into that?

-We own a three bedroom house. One of the rooms is our dogs room, where they all sleep at night, and then there is the nursery and our bedroom. :)

  •  1.  What are you most excited about when it comes to welcoming a new baby (ies) into your home? This is a hard one. I am excited for a lot of things. One thing I am excited for is that DH and I are going to be doing this together. I think he is going to be a great dad and I can't wait to see him in action. : )

    2.  What are you most nervous about? Baby being sick or crying and me or DH not being able to tell whats wrong or able to console him.

    3. What is one important life lesson that you hope to teach your children? To enjoy life simply.

    4. Are you passing anything down to your LO? Nope. The dresser we have in the nursery was my dresser from when I was a baby but that's really it. Not to exciting. ; )

    5. When is your baby shower? No date planned yet.

    6. What is your current living situation and how will baby fit into that? We have a 3 bedroom home. Baby has his own room. Then we have our bedroom and a spare bedroom. We only have one bathroom. Wish we had 2 but oh well. Will have to make do.

  • Kanels - We almost bought a 3b/1b but ended up getting a 3b/2b. I'm glad we did, because I was just thinking of how it would be a pain to take her tub out every time we wanted to shower, and DH showers twice a day...I hope it doesn't end up being that much of a hassle for you.

  •  1.  What are you most excited about when it comes to welcoming a new baby (ies) into your home? Being a mom and seeing DH be a dad. He's so amazing with our nieces that I know he's going to be even more amazing as a dad.

    2.  What are you most nervous about? Child care. At most, I'll have 8 weeks off. I worked in an infant room in college and saw how much you miss out on when your child is at daycare. I had a parent give us orders to not tell her if he did any of his firsts. It was heartbreaking.

    3. What is one important life lesson that you hope to teach your children? To not hate. DH and I are so against the -ism's that it's the one thing we really want to teach our children.

    4. Are you passing anything down to your LO? My grandmother's and great grandmother's engagement rings and wedding bands (to a daughter) and my grandfather's WWII medals (to a son).

    5. When is your baby shower? I have no idea, I'm guessing late November to avoid the holidays.

    6. What is your current living situation and how will baby fit into that? We live in a 2 bedroom apartment. Our spare room will be converted into a nursery. We have a backyard and are a short walk to 4 parks. We also have a community swimming pool a few blocks away. We'd like to buy a house in the next 2 years.

To be independent productive positive members of society.

    4. Are you passing anything down to your LO?

yes. Dh and I both gave him our DNA. :-) nothing physical that I know of yet.

june 15th, right around the corner!

    6. What is your current living situation and how will baby fit into that?

We live in a single family house in suburbia. We made one of the bedrooms the baby's. the house is about 1500 square feet, so not huge. I think all three of us will fit though :-)

  • 1.  What are you most excited about when it comes to welcoming a new baby (ies) into your home? Now I'm excited to give L a sibling. I am also looking forward to the summer, beach trips, picnics, and having little weekend adventures. Experiencing stuff with her for the first time is so much fun.

    2.  What are you most nervous about? Now that she's here, I worry about what it'll be like having more than 1 LO, and I worry about sending them to school (school violence, bullying, giving her opportunities without overloading her).

    3. What is one important life lesson that you hope to teach your children? To be kind to everyone. Even if someone isn't your friend or relative, they deserve your respect and kindness.

    4. Are you passing anything down to your LO? She has the quilt my mom made me when I was little, and a couple stuffed animals.

    6. What is your current living situation and how will baby fit into that? Right now we're in a 2br apartment in a building, 2nd floor. Now that she's mobile, it's starting to feel smaller and smaller. We want to buy a house hopefully in the next year. We're starting to think about that process. I am tired of having neighbors on all 4 sides of us and not having any yard space. It's important to me that L has a place to run and play outside.
