Alright, inspire me! What's everyone doing for Father's Day? Gifts, activities, etc.
Re: Father's Day
I ordered Brian this tshirt, and I'm SO excited to give it to him!!
I'm not sure what else I'll get him, but I'll pick up something else and have the kids make something for him. we don't have any plans for that day yet, I need to talk to my dad to see what they are doing. I don't know what we're getting for my dad yet; Brian's dad is getting a carbon monoxide detector, because they really need one for their house (super exciting, I know!!)

You inspired me to take care of something else for Brian, he was just showing me his iphone case last night, which cracked over the weekend. I just ordered a new Pitt case from amazon...done with him, woohoo!
Now if only my dad were that easy!

Sarah-if you're looking for craft ideas from Logan, I've pinned quite a few ideas recently (who knows if we'll actually get around to doing them, but they're super cute!)

We don't have any plans for the day yet (although I'm assuming DH will go golfing), but I usually keep it pretty simple. I'll probably get him an iTunes or B&N gift card, and a case of beer...maybe tickets to a Pirate game? We also usually have both families over for a cook out. I'd like to do something special, but it's always hard coming up with ideas because he never really wants anything or has ideas. (unlike me, who always has a wish list because I am high maintenance like that.)
Tim is a Mother's Day rockstar, so I feel the need to reciprocate. For goodness sakes, he got me tickets to 42nd Street up super close so I can stalk Joey Fatone. Lol! If that's not love I don't know what it is.
I'm thinking along the lines of doing a family day with him. For his birthday I did a surprise day and we went for apps one place, dinner another and dessert another. Maybe Children's Museum or something.
You girls have such cute ideas! Emmy, that shirt is killing me! Love it.
Although I like to be the bigger person, I am sick of doing it time and time again.
I did get a coffee from starbucks, and the next day he took Adam to pick a charm for my Pandora. Because he is last minute and thought he was going to let me sleep in and take Adam to do it that morning, then decided at 3 pm the day before he had a job to do and asked someone to help. He left at 6 am and I was not able to sleep in and was home all day doing laundry and with Adam alone.
We did go to dinner...
I will probably have Adam make a card. and try not to nag him for the day to let him do what he wants- which will probably be hangout in the basement with his music stuff.

I always think the same thing,. Thinking my great ideas will rub off on him. We get him something nice and personal for father's day and he totally phones it in for mother's day. I understand that I am alone with the girls much more than he is so we have time to get creative but still, I think he could google mother's day craft or something and figure it out.
Last year I did a photo shoot with the girls holding giant letters (D A D) and got a 3 picture, picture frame. (I'm sure you've all seen it on pinterest) http://sistersstuff.blogspot.com/2010/06/fathers-day-frame-for-dad.html He LOVED it and it would have been great to get a matching MOM this year. No such luck...
I would rather have something from the heart than something that cost a lot of money.
DH and I don't really have a track record of doing things for each other for holidays; we're too practical in many ways.
He got me Ghiradelli candy (so nothing crazy special!) and a card. So, the boys and I are getting him an ND sweatshirt and bottle opener, as well as a meat fork/thermometer for when he grills (Aldi has them for under $7). If I can swing it, I might try to get a pic of the boys in Steelers gear down by Heinz field, or something, since we're moving out of state!
My three sons!
