Nevermind (and a blogspot tip)
I just wrote out a long question and two minutes after doing so figured out the answer.
A tip - if you use Blogspot and start a draft, then save it to finish later or the next day, the published date defaults to the time you created the post, not when you actually publish it. You can change it, but if you forget to before you publish it, it won't appear in anyone's blog readers.
To fix it after you publish, go into "edit post" and click "save as draft." Then reset the date to a couple minutes in the future. Then hit "publish post." It will publish, and appear in people's readers that way.

Re: Nevermind (and a blogspot tip)
It's funny, these are technically a meringue cookie, but they don't really taste meringue-like and for whatever reason, the meringue making seemed more simple than usual. Of all the things that gave me problems, the meringue wasn't it. I think it's because you don't have to whip the egg whites for that long...just a minute or two, so you aren't trying to balance all the air that goes into them or anything. The consistency of the meringue was more like marshmallow sauce than anything else. So, don't fear the meringue.
The worst part is the rolling out and cutting.
