Manic Monday
Thought I would get this going and then I gotta get back to work :-(

My weekend was good! Spent time with the family Saturday. Got a lot done for my brother's graduation party Sunday.
Nothing big planned for this week. I didn't get to the grocery store yesterday, so we'll have to do that one night this week.

We were in VA Beach all weekend for BIL's wedding. There were plenty of crazy/bridezilla moments, but overall it was a really beautiful weekend and I'm so happy for them! Now I need to recover though
MIL and FIL are probably coming to visit us next weekend, which is really great (there's an outdoor concert series at a vineyard that H and I absolutely love, so they're coming for that), but it means I need to clean the house this week which I'm really not feeling up to right now!
Also our AC is broken. Fabulous. Thankfully it's not supposed to be *too* hot this week!
Weekend was nice - my mom and sister and I went for pedicures (that was my mother's day gift to my mom). And a good friend of mine was in town, so we had a girl's night out on Saturday and then her and I went for lunch on Sunday. Other than that, just the usual stuff - Sunday dinner with family, cleaning and relaxing.
Looking forward to this week - tonight we're meeting with our financial planner to go over our retirement stuff. I feel so old and wise! haha But I'm actually super excited to find out if we're putting enough aside, what else we can do, etc. I'm a huge nerd when it comes to money, budgets, etc.
Ldawn - I am a nerd when it comes to finances, but DH isn't quite to my level. I hope we're putting enough away. We're currently putting away roughly combined 12% after taxes of our gross income and also have a combined 4% company match.
I would be interested to see how much a financial advisor says we should be putting away. Could you update please?

I can definitely let you know what he says. Although I do know that they say you should put away a percentage based on your gross income, not net... I found out about that earlier this year and just about had a stroke.
We both have Roth 401Ks, and I have a Roth IRA. I need to look at our paystubs...I think the amount that goes in after tax is based on gross. I hope so at least! Otherwise, I guess I'll need to up our 401Ks for sure! :-)

IT'S THE LAST WEEK OF SCHOOL!!!!!
I'm pooped. I gave my classes a choice this week - group work or watch a movie. Luckily they all picked movie
I need to clean up the apartment so I have room to put all my school stuff.
Saturday we set up the kiddos pool and he played all day. I went out that night with my sister and were up til like 5am.
Sunday we relaxed and she and I went through my grandmas jewelry and then her flight left around 4. The. Went shipping and had dinner with my mom. I went to bed pretty early since I was exhausted.
This weekend is like to plan a day trip. There's a BBQ place h has been dying to go to but we couldn't ever go bc I worked.
Friday was DH's first softball game. They played kids who are still in HS. I thought for sure they HS kids would win both games but DH and the old guys kicked their butts!
Saturday we had a nice lunch with MIL, SIL and her kids. His grandfather was supposed to be there, too, but DH forgot to remind him and he went to Arby's and wasn't answering his cell. LoL!!
Sunday was a waste. I was up from 2a - 5a and up again at 8a with DD. She has been congested since Saturday night. As soon as DH woke up, I went back to sleep until almost 1:30pm. DH had another softball game, but we stayed home since DD was so stuffy.
This week... I'm back to work at the end of the week. Boo.
I felt horrible Saturday. I stopped to get coconut water and it had pineapple juice in it! Woo hoo! It's so fun working when you can hardly talk because your thoroughly feels terrible from an allergic reaction. I did we'll considering. After work H took me out for gelato and sandwiches. That was really nice.
sunday we went to see after earth. I liked it. We also did some laundry.
