I was going to post this on the book club Monday post, but I decided to make a different thread for it.
Who all has a Kindle and who all has a Nook? It seems like a lot of us have similar tastes in books, and have e-readers. It'd be awesome if we could lend to each other.
Maybe we could start a thread about what device you have, and what in your library is lendable. It'd save us all money!!
Re: E-reader question
I have a Kindle. I tried to loan a book to SIL and they way Amazon has their files set up, you can only loan a book if the publisher allows it.
Like Mana, I have a few random files that another SIL emailed me but I'm not sure where hers came from either.
I have a Kindle Fire. I only have a few books on it though, since most of the ones I had really wanted to read were a bit pricey for my budget. (I consider it sad if I can buy the physical copy somewhere for much cheaper than its e-book counterpart.)
Most of what I have are more sci-fi/fantasy and a few straggler wedding books that I can't bring myself to delete since I technically paid for them.
The last bit of action it got was because I had recently moved. The county library has an e-lending program, which was kind of nice.
I use the Kindle app on my iPad. I only really have the free kindle books and e-library books.
A friend of mine gave me a bunch of e-files of books (like over 1,000). There is some good stuff in there. Maybe I could set up a shared drop box for us and if anyone wants any of the titles, I can drop them in there for you to use. Thoughts?
I have a Kindle. It seems like the best books aren't lendable. I do have a hanful of lendable books though. MIL buys me Amazon GCs every holiday so I use them mostly on books.
Cathy, I'm assuming there's a nook app for kindle?
Probably. I downloaded the Kindle app from the Google app store.
