No problem. I was pouring over the med info for my sinus infection this weekend. Unfortunately, the information isn't as clear cut for sinuses as they are for allergies, but that's a good thing for you.

My doctor has even said that I can use Benadryl occasionally to help me sleep with my insomnia.

  • That's my only concern. I don't want to take Benadryl and then get drowsy :( but I'm pretty sure I can find non-drowsy ones, right? I found out about my allergies not that long ago and I usually get Claritin but being pregnant I didn't know if it was safe or not.

  • Claritin is on the safe list my doctor gave me. :)

ETA: It just can't be Claritin D. Regular Claritin is safe. So is Zyrtec.

When I had my sinus infection a couple months ago, I was okay'd to use Afrin for a few days, as well as phenylephrine for a decongestant. I was also on amoxicillin for the infection side of it.

Thanks. I think I'm almost over it. I had one earlier and was given a zpack, but that as after it got really bad and I'm not to that point yet. I'll keep those in mind if it doesn't go away in a day or two.

I hope you feel better soon. Being sick while pregnant sucksass.

I think the pp have covered it, but the safe list from my doc includes regular Claritin, Benadryl, or Zyrtec.
