Re: **pennstated**

  • It got moved to Friday. My doctor got sick. So basically, I'm sitting here waiting for this week to end. Maybe it's for the best though. I'm so bloated today you probably could pop my stomach and I would fly around the room.

I'm definitely sad it wasn't today though. I want to hear Baby M's heartbeat!!

  • Me too. Today is completely dragging and all I want to do is sleep. I fully intend on taking a 2 hour nap when I get home. DH and I have been talking a lot about things we want to do with the baby, what sports we hope they show an interest in, etc. It makes me feel warm and fuzzy.

ps: maybe you can answer my newb question: what is vday in terms of this board? It's the first time I'm hearing the term.

V-Day = Viability Day. When you hit 24 weeks it is said that your baby stands a really good chance to surviving if he/she is born. And of course those odds increase as you get further along in your pregnancy.

This. It does vary slightly from hospital to hospital, but the majority of the time it's 24 weeks.

  • that date is important to know for your hospital because it not only means the baby has a good chance of surviving, if born, but it also means that if it is born prior to that date the hospital will not do anything to try to save the baby if it is born because they don't feel it stands a chance to survive.
Thanks to our wonderful RE our family is complete!
