Confession/relief

It's been 7 months since the wedding, and I finally mailed a thank you card and pictures to the lady that made our cake. I took care of all the guest thank you cards, and others, but totally forgot her. Better late than never right? Embarrassed

Re: Confession/relief

  • Indeed.  I didn't do a thank you card for any vendors.  I figured giving them butt-loads of my money was thanks enough!
  • I didn't do vendor thank you cards either. I did follow up with most of them to thank them in person or via email though. I also wrote really nice reviews for them on Wedding Wire.

  •  I usually wouldn't worry about vendor thank yous, except that this lady who makes cakes out of her home went above and beyond the call of duty. She was considering "retiring" until I begged her to do one last order for me. Among other things, she managed to get it done despite working full time, being a mom, and all her other commitments. The end result looked amazing, and tasted soooooo good. So after forming that relationship with her, and the wonderful job she did, I told myself she deserved a special card and pictures from the day. Then that thought went into la-la-land until now. Whoops.
