Going to Colorado need ideas

We are loading up the kids in our Rv and heading to Colorado this summer for two weeks! We want to hike, fish, enjoy small towns, discover how beautiful nature can be, enjoy cooler weather and ride dirt bikes! Suggestions,ideas...... TIA

we were thinking Durango, Mesa Verde and Colorado Springs maybe I don't know it all seems great so hard to narrow. It down!

When we went to CO a few years ago, we went to Rocky Mountain National Park, Ft. Collins, Boulder, Pikes Peak, Garden of the Gods, Red Rocks

Hmmm..sounds like you'll be coming in from Cali or Arizona? Durango is pretty, the Sand Dunes are nice (time it so you will do it early or late in the day as it gets quite hot) and if you want to do some nice back country type stuff, head up to Salida and over on Hwy 50 to Pueblo then up to Springs. Salida is a little town with some interesting art galleries, good pizza and Cafe Dawn to relax with a tasty drink. If you want to do the Royal Gorge along 50 it is pretty too. Springs has Garden of the Gods, Manitou Springs is a quaint little town (try the Incline if you feel adventurous) and the penny arcade is pretty fun in town. You could try heading north to Estes Park, it is gorgeous and offers a lot of outdoorsy activities and good weather. Boulder is a good foodie type town (The Buff for breakfast, mmm) and Fort Collins has some fab microbreweries, and free tours of Budweiser or New Belgium. Are you looking for RV parks? Campgounds with some services or remote camping with the RV? Not sure the age of your kids.

We have taken our travel trailer to the national forest where you can remote camp. We pick spots along a creek to sit back and relax. DH does a little fishing. We also like to raft. We stay away from the crowded National Parks. Back in the 70's I went to Rocky Mt National Park and enjoyed it. We have been to

Durango (KOA), you might like the Durango to Silverton railroad
South Fork - up the road to Summitville (superfund site at the end), visit Crede - mining museum, raft the Rio Grand, Burgers and homemmade pie at Blue Creek Lodge in Wagon Wheel Gap (between Southfork abd Crede) they have an RV park at the lodge too.4-Wheel on engineers pass.
Gunnison to raft the Taylor river, (camped along the river in National Forest)
Salida (we stayed in a motel), took 4 wheeler from St Elmo to Tin Cup. They rent them in St Elmo. Great off roading there. Lots of trails.
