Everyone has them, what is yours today?
Mine is that I just had to start a new roll of toilet paper in the ladies room....I think that Pitt might purchase the worst rolls ever, because they are nearly impossible to start. it's like a puzzle, having to line up the sides juuuuuust right, and if you don't tear at the exact moment necessary, you have to start all over again. it's close to a 2 minute process, minimum.
Re: First world problems
*snicker* Those dispensers drive me insane!
How about - why do public facilities even bother to install sanitary item containers in bathrooms if they are not going to fill them? Is it a law that they have to have them? I was at CHP last week for an appt. with Gavin - the restroom had the container and I had the quarter - it was empty, and of course I had forgotten to replenish my purse stash. *sigh*
I'm also excited to share that as of this morning, we are under contract on our house! The buyer wanted a July 15 close date, and DH was all gung-ho until I shot him down asking for a July 25 close date. Since I'm the one doing all of the legwork (moving quotes, bills, family and home care, and work), I need more time! My head is spinning that this is really happening...
Finally, my cell phone is down to 20% battery and I forgot to grab my charger this morning. Someone around here has to have an iPhone and their charger, too, right?!
My three sons!
Congratulations! That is great, I guess they accepted your counter? Your closing date is only 3 days after ours!
This week needs to end, like now. When your week starts by having to put your dog to sleep you know it is going to suck. Plus, all the crap with buying a new house and finishing ours to get on the market, I am done. I went to bed at 8:30 last night with the worst migraine. I had vertigo while laying down. The headache is still there but the awful vertigo is gone.
It's always freezing at work. I am so sick of it. I want to wear spring/summer clothes but then I freeze all day at work. I'm wearing a tank top with 3/4 sleeve cardigan and a big bulky sweater coat overtop right now. Nothing says June like wearing my sweater coat!!
it boggles my mind that they crank up the AC so much. People complain its too cold. They could make people happy and save money!!! Yet they blast it all day everyday. Last summer it couldn't handle it and died. So there were several days we all were sweltering because those were like the 90 degree days. But you think the fact that it has overloaded before that they could back it down some!
The inspection on our house is tomorrow afternoon. I made arrangements for my sister to watch the boys and after doing so DH told me I didn't have to be there....I just glared at him. I've been anxious over this inspection for a week and I'm not going to listen to his typical half report about how things go! LOL. I know we'll get the full written report but I want to see what they are talking about too.
DH always blasts the AC because he likes it cold. I tend to turn it down while he is at work because I think its freezing. A half hour before he comes home I put it back where he wants it and throw on jeans and have a cardigan nearby. He laughs at me because I'll be curled up in a blanket as well. If we ever divorce it will be over the temperature of the house.
My mom just told me last night that she won't be coming down this weekend for DS1's last t-ball game. I'm upset about it because t-ball wasn't my idea and I'm not the one who insisted we sign him up. Although usually he is kind of into it, well at least parts of it, last week he just ran around the field and didn't have any interest at all. I'm really glad this week is the end.
I've been putting off job hunting, finding DS1 a preschool and DS2 daycare, and a few other pretty important things because I'm waiting to see how inspection goes in the case that we have to walk. I just hope I can still find DS1 a spot in preschool. He really needs the interaction with other children before kindergarten.
I also can't wait to move simply for the excuse of switching cable/internet companies. Our current provider drives me crazy and they have absolutely no customer service. The internet has days were it will not be available for hours. DH works from home on Fridays and last week the internet cut out on him 3 times.
I have to start pricing home security systems. DH and I both insist we install one in the home we purchase....anyone have a recommendation?
I went to Garden Ridge today and bought rockers for my front porch. Apparently, just because you drive an SUV doesn't mean a 3-month-old baby, a stroller, and two non-flexible rockers will fit in it. I left them behind at the store for DH to pick up after work. The cashier wrote a "paid" note on them and put them aside, but I'm scared someone is going to put them back on the floor even though they're paid. She seemed very threatening when she said they HAD to be picked up by 6pm. I should have just returned them. I already have the battle planned out in my head if there is an issue.
DD has her first cold (after a mere 4-hour trial day at daycare last week!!) and today is my last day before I start back to work. I've washed her bouncer cover twice in two days and the swing cover today due to her coughing so badly that she pukes. I have nowhere really to put her down where she is upright now. Not that I really want to put her down. Tomorrow is going to suck.
don't you hate when work gets in the way of your flexible work schedule? I have often had similar situations where I want to work at home, but have to come in for something specific. Or have to stay later because of when a meeting is scheduled. it makes me feel whiny too.
