Weekend Plans?

What's on tap for the weekend?

Re: Weekend Plans?

  • I'm an hour into my day and I'm already ready for a drink, so here's hoping the day just gets better from here!!

Tonight I have a Mary Kay event, which will be a lot of fun.

Tomorrow I'm doing a Mary Kay party and then Tim and I are going to see 42nd Street!!! I fully intend to stalk the stage door and meet Joey Fatone. If I can meet him and then go see New Kids on Tuesday my inner fan girl might just die of happiness.

Sunday we're "running" Color Me Rad. Yes, quotations, because I don't know how much actual running I will personally be doing. Tim wants to do it in 15 minutes. I aim to do the first mile in 15 minutes. Ha ha! Go Team Tortoise!

  • getting eleni's hair cut Wink her attempt at it just wasn't successful so I figure I will get it fixed for her. trip to costco so we can have a new giant bag of craisins in the cabinet. Maybe even a shopping trip to find a nice big carpet remnant for our downstairs living room so I can hide most of the ugly flooring. This isn't as exciting as it sounds. Last time we went Kev and I had a fight over a damn rug. Cause I wanted to think of it in terms of how we would decorate the room and K just wanted a beige rug and didn't care at all about decor. So now that the room is painted and we are on a path to it being decorated I think we have half a chance of success!

Other than that, just normal weekend crap. Laundry/groceries/cleaning.

  • We are going to start painting some of the rooms in our house. After living in a white primered house for a year, I'm very exciting

  • Amanda - After Noah cut his own hair, I told him that everyone cuts their hair once. And now that he did it, to never, ever, ever, ever do it again!  He still remembers that, and he was probably 3 at the time.  I hope Eleni learns that lesson, too.

Tonight - all of my boys are getting haircuts.  So we'll eat something quick and head to the beauty shop. (Is it still a beauty shop if the boys are getting cuts?? HA)

Tomorrow - DH and I have eye doctor appts in the morning, and since our eyedoctor is downtown and my aunt is keeping the boys I think we should just peek around at the Arts Festival.  I think we're also going to try to stop at Home Depot so he can show me the tile he has picked out for the bathroom floor and the tub area. I usually trust him and we typically agree, but I don't want him to buy it without my seal of approval (on a happy note, things are starting to go back IN to the bathroom, instead of just everything coming out!  He thinks he'll finish the plumbing and get the floor/subfloor in this weekend. YAY!)

Sunday - an afternoon b-day party for my friend's twins, so I'll take the boys and DH will stay home to do more work.

  • amber, we had a similar conversation. and I told her I cut my hair once too and I wasn't angry. But if she did it again, things would be different because she should know better. and I told her that if someone does something in a book it isn't always a good idea to try it herself.

K prefers to call it a salon, and makes fun of me when I say hair dresser like I am an old lady.

and yay for your bathroom! I was just staring at the plastic placemat covered hole in my shower and thinking I should probably take care of that like soon. Maybe next time K is out of town. I like surprise projects.

  • This week has totally sucked and I am glad it is over.

Tonight-drafting up our things we want fixed from our home inspection and dinner. Oh, plus I must pack 8 boxes. Yeah, Nathan is on a packing kick even though we aren't closing for another 6 weeks and we have no place to store said boxes but he wants to pack 8 boxes a night. This should be fun.

Saturday-I was suppose to run the Dirty Girl tomorrow but I have had the worst case of stressed induced vertigo(yeah, don't see that going a way for a while) the last week so I think I am going to have to back out. We have the electrician coming to wire the bathroom. Then we are going to meet with our seller at 5, I really wish we had an agent at times like these. Then I may go drink cause that will help the vertigo and all.

Sunday-Drywall is going up in the bathroom. I am going to go to my new home away from home, Home Depot to pick tile so my BIL can come over and set it. I also have to pick paint.

Plus, all the other fun weekend stuff like food shopping, cleaning, laundry.

  • Tonight we are getting together with some neighbors to watch the game.

Saturday I am doing the Dirty Girl Mud Run.  Mason has t-ball.  That night we are meeting some friends in from out of town for drinks.  Depending on what time the IL's can make it over to baby-sit, we might try to squeeze in our belated anniversary dinner.

Sunday DH is golfing, so I'm not sure what I'll do with the boys.  I also need to do some boring house organizing stuff.

I'm off on Monday too, so yay!

  • TGIF ladies!

tonight- get everything together for garage sale tomorrow. Why is it I say I will start pulling everything together early and then days before and I am just now doing? Oh well. The whole street is participating.... so hopefully get rid of some stuff. ha. Also it is my mom's bday, so we will probably take her to dinner.

tomorrow- garage sale 9-1, then t-ball then bday party for a daycare friend. Phew I am tired just reading that.

sunday- nothing really. recover from saturday.

  • Tonight - If the rain holds off, we are going to a special event at the zoo.

Tomorrow - no big plans, probably just stuff around the house during the day (mowing, wash cars, laundry etc.). In the evening the kids and I are heading to my parents to spend the night.

Sunday - Color Me Rad and then relaxing!

  • Tonight - pizza and hockey (maybe - hockey's been kind of depressing lately!)

Tomorrow - DD has swim lessons in the morning and then we're going to do some cleaning to finish up our spring/summer cleaning

Sunday - Color Me Rad Run (or more like Color Me Rad Jog/Walk in my case ;)
  • Today: relaxing with Adam and maybe starting laundry. DH actually cleaned up the house- like alot, yesterday so that is awesome...I need to bake some sugar cookies to cool for decorating later and make some icing for a cake and some cupcakes I have to do.  I will do that after Adam goes to bed though. DH is going to work.

Saturday: Meeting with a cake. then Nothing planned.  Probably finish or start laundry if I don't get to it tonight.  Try to get DH to start the work we need to do in the nursery. We aren't changing it from Adam but we had some water damage on the wall around the window when we had roof issues that needs fixed and he is installing a new light in the closet.

I don't want to build the crib or put any clothes out until he gets the stuff fixed just incase it gets messier than planned...

Sunday:  Maybe get some breakfast and take it easy. We have Maternity/Family and Adam's "5 year" Pictures at 4:30.

  • TGIF!

Today: I've been doing laundry since I worked remote; tonight DH is going to watch the game and I'm going grocery shopping and coming home to finish cleaning.

Saturday: Home inspection at 8am (Seriously, who does that to a family with 3 little kids and a dog?!) Oh right - a young, single guy. Gah. DH is going to hang at the neighbor's house with the dog; I might venture to the Strip with the boys if it's nice weather. The rest of the day will just be hanging around the house.

Sunday: Hoping to go to the Strawberry Festival at Soergel's in the morning; relaxing the rest of the day.

    Have fun!
