At DH's work he has to change into scrub pants (he works in a lab and he has to change into them once he gets there, he can't just wear them in from home) and he wears a labcoat over his shirt. He always leaves his wallet in his pants. Well today he was looking into his wallet and noticed his money was missing. We looked EVERYWHERE because we didn't want to believe that someone from his work could have stolen it. He has a pretty good relationship with people he works with, but he doesn't know everyone and he works 3rd shift, so he is there when people from 2nd are leaving and people from 1st are coming in. We think someone took $60 out of his wallet. We looked everywhere, retraced every step he might have taken yesterday since he got the money and where he would have had his wallet out and didn't come up with anything.
It is so aggravating that someone would just steal from him. He said he is more mad that someone didn't ASK him for the money. I am mad about that too, but I am mad because we are so careful with money and we have an allowance each week that covers gas, groceries, dog food, and then whatever is left (usually not much) we use for things we want so that we really can save as much as possible and not use our credit cards. That was his money for this week and we are now short on it. Luckily we already bought dog food but we have to go grocery shopping and now we won't be able to get as much because someone took the money from him so we will really only be able to get groceries with what I have left.
Soon after we realized it was missing, our mail came and in it was a check for $40 from my dr's office who charged me too much so it made up for some of the money, BUT we could have put that $40 somewhere else.
It is just so frustrating that someone would do that. DH is now going to lock his wallet in his car.
Sorry for the long, babbling post... I just needed to vent.
Re: So aggravating
I'm so sorry Abbie. I've never understand the nerve of some people... Hopefully karma comes back to bite them!
