DH made my week last night! I've been job hunting since November. It's been not very fun. It seems like employers just have a ton of choices for every open position and I guess I'm not standing out.
Anyway, yesterday I applied for a job in a different field. I'm in Medical Billing and can't stand it. I got an email within moments of submitting my resume that said, "Are you insert sister's name here sister?" Turns out the person hiring is someone that practically lived at my house when we were kids. As it turns out this job would be only part time for 6 months out of the year and would make a -$1,000 difference in my income for those 6 months, but would be making more during the full time months. I'd have to give up 2 1/2 weeks of PTO but I started tearing up at my desk when I realized this wouldn't be possible. (This should give you an idea of how unhappy my current job makes me.)
When I got home last night I told DH about it and that if I took this job I'd have to work two part time jobs during that 6 months and he might have to go back to donating plasma like he did in college. He just said, "If you think this will make you happy, I'm with you to do whatever it takes. It's you and me against the world!" I'm not even sure if I'd get the job offer but it made me so happy to know that the chance is there. I'd love to change fields and it is so hard to do that!
This weekend we're going out of town for DH's softball tournament. It should be a lot of fun.
Not a single exciting thing happened for me this week.
We my FIL and his wife staying with us until tomorrow morning. I much prefer having them at our house to my MIL (see my confession yesterday, haha). Tomorrow afternoon we are heading to southern VA to a resort overnight. We "won" a free stay at this resort. So basically we have to sit through a timeshare presentation and then we win a prize or something afterwards. Fine by me, I can tune them out for an hour to get a free overnight stay and a minimum of a $500 gift card! Before we leave on Sunday, we are going to get a couples massage. So excited!
Nothing really exciting happened here either. I found out that the leave replacement I am doing now will be extended to Nov 1st bc I am covering for a woman who had twins and she is choosing not to come back right away. Its good bc we need the $ but sucks ill have to push my kid out and go back to work right away where if i had never lost my job and was having a baby I could take my maternity leave into the next school year and go back in Sept/October, but ill survive, i guess!
Today we had a mandatory dismissal at 11am bc there is a state track meet being held at the school and they needed the parking lot. Yay for getting to go home early on a friday=)
This weekend H is at a bachelor party so I can clean my house and it will stay that way for longer than 5 minutes. My plan is to also wash and put away all the baby clothes plus start to pack a hospital bag, or at least pick out what we want to bring our daughter home in.
I may go to my parents house tomorrow since my mom thinks i cant be alone in my condition?!?! but hey ill get dinner out of it=)
Nothing terribly exciting happened this week and I am so glad it's Friday and I can sleep in tomorrow!!
We don't have any big plans this weekend. We talked about getting some house renovations done, but I don't know if we have the motivation to do that. We are working out tonight, Saturday and Sunday and might go to the movies sometime, but I am hoping to be somewhat lazy this weekend!

I think DH is going to the casino tonight to play poker. Tomorrow we're going to Altoona, PA (we're in Pittsburgh, so about a 2 hr drive) along with some of DH's family to see the Altoona Curve (minor league team for the Pittsburgh Pirates). We are staying until sometime on Sunday.
Nothing exciting this week, except I think I need a boat to get home tonight. Thanks TS Andrea!
Nothing going on this weekend, but get ready for the kids. We pick them up Friday! EEK! Got to grocery shop for foods they will eat, and get their room freshened up.
Okay, so this week hasn't been all that great. H's grandfather passed away (it was expected) on Sunday, so we had to go to SC for the funeral. Then both SIL and I had colonoscopies this morning, so I was miserable all day yesterday and this morning. I'm much happier now that I can eat!
Next week will be much, much better! H starts his new job on Monday and I have a job interview Monday as well. I'll then be headed to Nashville to visit my parents and pick up my furbaby. My mom's had him since last Friday since we knew GFIL was going to pass and we were going to be out of town. I could use some luck and good vibes for my interview, though!
lol only 29 days to go! and yeah for getting out early n a friday that must be nice!
nothing super exciting happened this week- took my 5 yr old niece/FG to the beach on wednesday while her sisters were in school ( she felt so special that we took her w/o them! )
tonight i am going to coach bag bingo w/ my cousin! wish me luck( this will be my 4th one- and i have yet to win a coach bag lol- i did however win a raffle basket at the first one i went to!)
oh and sunday we have a friends son's 1st bday party from 1-4 and our nephews bday party from 3- ? - i am excited i actually get to sleep in sice i usually have to go to work @ 5:30 am on sunday but we took off for the parties~
