Kind of Scared

So i'm acting like it's no big deal in real life...but I have Dr. apt today and they have to do a biopsy on my toe. I'm pretty worried and results don't come back for two weeks...and even if it's nothing my nail will be messed up forever (which is the least of my worries...but can't I be a little vain?). I really hope it's just a weird mole under my toe nail, but it could be something worse...Sad thanks for letting me share, and freak out a little!

Re: Kind of Scared

  • BIG HUG!!!

I hope it's nothing, but a piece of mind is worth a damaged nail.  I'm sure you won't even notice. I know my mom got part of her big toe nail off for something, and I don't notice (and I paint her nails all the time).

I had a mole taken off last summer and it's so stressful waiting.  I really hate the "no news is good news" so I'm waiting the whole 2 weeks, worrying.

Let us know how it goes!

  • I've had a couple moles removed and it's always been ok.  I think it's fairly common to have at least one removed in your lifetime.  That being said, it's still super scary!!

Keep us posted on what you find out.  We'll all be thinking of you!

And, it is totally fine to be a little vain about stuff like this.  It's still your body!  I two moles on my back that looked like a turtle.  They removed the mole that was his head.  I was super angry about it.  They beheaded my turtle and I was like 15, so I was super rational about it.. My mom heard about it the whole way home.

  • I hope everything is ok. Sending good thoughts <3

  • I hope everything is okay.  I feel your pain on being scared and slightly vain.  I am actually seeing a plastic surgeon next week for a mole removal.  I didn't want a big scar so I asked my dermatologist to refer me.  I have to be super careful since I have a family history of melamona.

  • That is scary!  It's better to have the mole removed then to not know.  I understand about being upset about your toenail being weird after.  We all have our moments and in scary situations, something small like what your toe nail will look like takes your mind off the scary part.

Good luck and keep us posted!

  • Sending you lots of T&P! Keep us posted.
