gearing up for next weekend...
Next weekend is my shower and I am so excited. My mom, SIL and 2 best friends are hosting.
My out of town ILs are coming in on Thursday. We haven't seen them since Christmas. I haven't spoken to them since then either. I've posted a bit about them. We do not get along. At all. They have no boundaries. I'm trying to mentally prepare for our conversation about them getting a hotel when the baby arrives, and about how we do not want them to come weeks before the baby to wait it out with us. We are also wondering if the religion talk will come up. They are born again. I am catholic, baby will be catholic. DH and I discussed this before we even got engaged. We are happy with our church and our situation but know his parents will not be, especially since most holidays over dinner they pray out loud for me to be saved. They are supposed to leave Sunday...but we'll see. When they were here for Xmas they said they'd leave on a certain day...when DH approached them that day because they hadn't packed and it was almost dinner time, his father's response was "we'll leave when we are ready to leave"... they left the following day instead.
DH and I are both bad at standing out ground. I always feel like I am being rude, but know in my heart it's them pushing us around. DH tries, but it is really hard to speak up and maintain boundaries with them. Any good thoughts you can send out way would be appreciated. Any advice would DEF be appreciated. 
The scary part is whenever I get worked up thinking about them I get really tight braxton hicks. I don't know if it's related it not, but I don't like LO feeling my stress.

I'm feeling really good! Just a bit tired, but things have been crazy at school too so that could very well be it haha. Hows your baby? Time is flying!

Will you be going back in the fall, or taking some time off? DH is dealing with the end of school craziness, too. I don't miss it and am not looking forward to next year, ha!

I just put in for maternity leave...Ill be taking all of september and most of october off. I did just apply to a part time job at the school district I grew up in. The pros to that is we wouldnt need daycare, and it would keep me in the retirement system. Cross your fingers for me:) I dont even know if they would call for an interview haha. If you are in this area mid/end of august let me know...our baby girls could meet!
Oooh, good luck! That would be the ideal situation - stay in the retirement system, but get to spend most of the day with baby.
I will definitely let you know when we're in the area. Have you decided on a name for baby girl?

We are deciding between Genevieve and Caroline...so tough! Genevieve was my gma's name, so I'm partial to it...but Caroline is so stinking cute. Hopefully when we meet her we will know for sure.
