I'm not sure if I missed an update on you, but I wanted to see how you were doing. Have you been back to the Dr?

Re: *ILRV*

  • I haven't been back to the doctor but have the first ultrasound scheduled for Friday afternoon (6w2d).  I'm still spotting, but it is brown, so I'm just trying to take it with a grain of salt.  I'll call the nurse today to let her know but I'm really trying not to worry.

I definitely don't feel pregnant.   No symptoms other than dizziness.  It is probably too early, but I had sore boobs by this time last time around.

The only thing that bothers me is that I spot more when being active.  After a short shopping trip yesterday, I ended up on the couch for the rest of the day with multiple glasses of water to chug.  I want to have a healthy pregnancy, which to me means talking long walks, exercising, etc -- but the blood scares me into doing nothing.

<3 I think a healthy pregnancy looks different for every person. I would rest as much as possible, at least until Friday, when you can talk to your doctor about different concerns you might have with exercising/walking long distances.

Very true. Spotting for a lot of people, unfortunately can be totally normal. Definitely try to take it easy for now until you can get some peace of mind and recomendations from your Dr. I know it's hard, but try not to worry, and I hope you have a great u/s on Friday.

I didn't have IVF or the same history as you, but I did have spotting during my last pregnancy from about 5 weeks to 12 weeks.  It would go from brown to pink to even bright red sometimes depending on how active I was and I found out it was due to a sub chorionic hemotoma.  Doc put me on pelvic rest until it cleared up totally, but everything turned out great and I had a very healthy pregnancy otherwise.  So I know it's easier said than done, but try not to worry and I'm hoping that it's nothing to be concerned about.  T&Ps to you.

FWIW, I called the nurse about my spotting last week and she said that 75% of their IVF patients experience spotting.

ETA: I hope the week goes by quickly for you and that you get great news on Friday.
