Exciting News!

But I'm pleased to announce that DH and I found out on Thursday that we are expecting!! I am 4w1d today so it's all very early, but it is an absolute miracle! Our appointment at the ivf clinic went well and DH and I went through the appropriate testing and bloodwork. It turns out, I am absolutely fine, but DH has extremely low testosterone which was causing his crappy sperm count. The suggestion was to start meds that would help his body increase its testosterone. He saw a urologist too, who was impressed that with his testosterone numbers, he even had a sperm count. The urologist asked DH if he would like to be a part of a study to test two different drugs for their effectiveness in treating low testosterone and increasing sperm count. Both drugs are already proven to work, but they want to know which is the better of the two! Our plan was to have DH start the meds and give them a month to start working and then start doing iui.
But here's the kicker! DH hasn't been given the study drug yet. He is due to start taking it tomorrow. He's still going to take the drug 1.) in case something happens to this pregnancy and 2.) because his testosterone is so low it's unhealthy.
