What are you reading? Did you finish anything good this past week?
my read shelf:
Re: Book Club Monday
I am reading Inferno and The Sandcastle Girls by Chris Bohjalian. Still muddling through the audio book of Girl with the Dragon Tattoo and hoping it will pick up. If I'm not finished when it is due back to the library, I won't be renewing it.
This week was the first in a long time that I haven't finised anything.
I finished The Forever of Ella and Micha. It was good not great. I'm a pretty big Jessica Sorensen fan, but this one just didn't do it for me. I've read almost all of her series, and I think this might just be her weak series.
I just started Absent by Katie Williams. I won it forever ago on a GR giveaway. It's interesting so far but I only got to read 20 something pages. It's a short book, so I'll probably be done with it soon if it keeps me interested.
I finished listening to Looking for Alaska - John Green. For YA it's pretty deep, but I really enjoyed it! I love the voice he does for the Cornel.
I am now listening to Forever - Maggie Steifvater. Meh, this is my uncontrolable need to finish a series, no matter how bad it is...
I finished reading The Apprentice - Tess Gerristen. It was good, but lacking something. Like it just like... ended. The best I can put it without spoilers.
I'm reading Lover UnBound - JD Ward (Black Dagger Brotherhood #5). Oh I love these books. I didn't feel like I read much this weekend, but I started this Friday night and alreay 100 pages in. I love learning more about each Brother's past!
I finished Ready Player One yesterday and loved it. I was a bit predictable but I would recommend it to anyone who remembers the 80's.
Now I am reading Unbelievable (PLL #4). Pretty Little Liars is my guilty pleasure series. I am also still listening to Game of Thrones. I am about half way though it. I am happy that I am listening to it instead of reading it because I don't think that I would have finished it at all.
I'm feeling the same way about the Stephanie Plum series by Janet Evanovich. They aren't bad, but they keep going round and round. I'm really hoping that 19 is the last one.
This week I read Unbelieveable, Wicked, and Killer by Sara Shepard (Pretty Little Liars #'s 4,5,6). I'm hooked. While they're not as good as the TV series, IMO, I am enjoying them for sure!!
I'm currently reading Opal by Jennifer L. Armentrout (Lux #3). It's sooo good. I love this series. I love the main guy. Mmmmmm sexxxxxy. haha.
i finished "Honor Bound-my journey to hell and back with Amanda Konx" by Raffaele Sollecito- it was good, i did not follow the case at the time but know i am very intrested, i can't believe how crazy Italy's justice system is! my cousin read the amanda knox version said it was good but super long ( she actually followed the case when it was going on )
"shoot the moon" Billie Letts i also really enjoyed this story! it was a very quick read!
i am know reading "the fatal gift of beauty" by Nina Burleigh (also about the trials of Amanda Knox and Raffaele Sollecito ) i heard its a very good account!
MagPie = Book #4 was rough getting into, but the last 200 pages are worth it! PROMISE! I think I'm reading #5 next...
I'm ok if it wraps up nicely... but this series there's too many loose ends for me. It's easier to get through when they are audiobooks. I read 1 and 2 of Stephanie Plum and I was ok after that. I might pick up 3, but there's so many other good books out there!
